One of the worst refs we've had this season - irrespective of whether we would have won or lost today. Admittedly didn't have much choice with regard to the sending off as JL left him with no option but appeared more than eager to award Darlo free kicks for the slightest contact and was basically a very weak individual all round. Since when also have we introduced 'time outs' into football to give the team a coaching session? His name will go on the list together with the clown we had at Grantham! Yes, as I said.. It's the same in every league..The ref always gets the blame for an inept performance by one of the teams.

I thought the same about the gathering after the darlo goal... however i believe they were fixing the net and so both teams gathered their players in for a chat.

Look on the Darlo post match thread and you will see that Salford fans are more than willing to criticise their own team's inept performance, including the poster you are replying to.

Fantastic game of football, good luck for the rest of the season i have no doubts you will make the play offs. We didn't show up in the first 30 minutes and you could have been 3 or 4 up but after that we controlled the game imo. I'm very surprised that there was only about 450 Salford fans there for such a big game.

We had clear cut chances to make it 3-0 and then 4-1 which would have put the game beyond you. We pride ourselves on our defensive attributes so today's collapse was totally inexplicable and hugely frustrating from our point of view. I think given that the match was all ticket, required a steward and police presence coupled with the adverse publicity surrounding last seasons meeting may well have put off some people. Well done on your comeback. Your momentum carried you over the winning line while we appeared to have gone lame!
