Makes sense to me. If it hadn't have been all ticket, I wouldn't have gone. The jealous Darlo fans are out in force on Facebook, of course, but one or two of them acknowledge why they have been restricted.

Does anyone know if they are having security on also? A fair chunk climbed over the wall last time.

This doesn't make any sense to me. If it was to reduce trouble the match would be segregated. Either Moor Lane doesn't have the facilities to segregate fans or it is simply an attempt to stop our fans cheering on our team.

Lack of facilities pal, no problem with anyone cheering on their team.

Segregation is fine, but it wasnt just verbal trouble last season, there was damage done. Granted by the minority morons, however having a small amount of away fans would make policing potential criminal damage alot easier.

I expect that the game will be segregated, as per the two F.A. Cup ties. 250 tickets equates to around 18% of capacity - I'm not sure why that specific number has been allocated or if there is a minimum obligation to provide for away fans in all-ticket matches.

This doesn't make any sense to me. If it was to reduce trouble the match would be segregated. Either Moor Lane doesn't have the facilities to segregate fans or it is simply an attempt to stop our fans cheering on our team. Having recently played both Notts County and Hartlepool United at home in front of 1400 spectators with segregation in place it is clear that we do have the ability, albeit with a large number of stewards and a police presence in place. To suggest that this has been done to prevent your fans from supporting your team is absolutely ridiculous. Why would we do such a thing ? It made absolutely no difference to the result last season at Moor Lane when we were heavily outnumbered or are you suggesting that by limiting your numbers we are somehow seeking to gain some advantage on the field of play? I believe that I am 100% correct in stating that the decision to make the game all ticket was made for us by the Football Association following the trouble both during and after last seasons game although official clarification - if permitted - would be welcome. The fact that there will be no segregation in place kind of defeats the object of the exercise although the thinking behind that is probably due to the belief that a limit of 250 away tickets means that only decent and law abiding fans will be able to obtain them. I really hope that that is the case as postings on the Darlington Fans Forum suggest that some have already been obtained by their supporters last Saturday. How true this is will be impossible to substantiate but either way I feel it will be necessary to have a large show of security personnel on the day to ensure that both sets of supporters - as well as players and officials - are able to go about their business and to enjoy the day without any unwelcome distractions. The decision to make the game all ticket is inconvenient for everyone concerned - not least the fans of both sides - and I'm sure will impact on the days attendance. Last seasons antics will have probably done that in any case and the limiting of away tickets is a regrettable response which obviously denies many a decent Darlington fan the chance of seeing their team in action. Following the F.A.'s ruling I can't for the life of me understand why the Evo-Stik League didn't schedule this game to be played on a Tuesday night which would have naturally prevented more from traveling. It just doesn't make any sense to me at all, yet they were hell bent on sending us up to Bishop Auckland in midweek come hell or high water!

Personally one would have preferred segregation to avoid the toxic atmosphere from last season. No doubt they'll be more than 250 Darlo's in the ground.

I'm guessing that's the idea behind the all ticket policy, fans giving each other abuse is one thing, but I can't imagine the club tolerating damage to the ground and abuse of voluntary staff.
