So..... Scotty Burton and Mike Phenix have both signed 2 year full-time deals at the club! Excellent news and thoroughly deserved!

Great news. Scotty Burton would have been the first player I would have signed and it seems the gaffers agreed. 😀 You have to love having players like him at your club. Skilful, calm under pressure and runs for 90 minutes. Massive player for us.
Phoenix will stat firing again, when we give him better service, I'm sure. Good player to have on board.
I'm hoping Notts and Lynchy are next.

So..... Scotty Burton and Mike Phenix have both signed 2 year full-time deals at the club! Excellent news and thoroughly deserved! Very positive news. Be interesting to see the other ins and outs at the end of the season. I guess some will depend on our success in the playoffs presuming we get there.

Yeah totally agree, the first two on the teamsheet for everyone.
I am totally unsure about how many will be kept on as full time players. I'd expect 5/6 of the current squad? Hoping Nottingham gets a chance to stay on.

Congratulations to both Super Scotty Burton and On-Fire Mike Phenix. Both would be very high up on the list of players that I wanted the club to sign up full-time. I believe that a few more announcements may follow in the not-too-distant future. I think the club are hoping for as many as 10/12 to be signing full-time. That seems about right to me. Hopefully, Jay, Notts, Grandy, and Billy will be on that list.

Interesting in that Granada reports interview the other night that Jonno talked about this. I wasn't sure exactly what he meant though. I thought he said that they had already had conversations with players about whether a contract will or will not be offered for next season. If so, could that be affecting certain players? Or did Jonno mean they still HAD to sit down with players?

I took it that they have spoken to those lads not being kept on or being offered fulltime deals last saturday which is right so lads have time to find new clubs also if we get a reserve side up and running we may keep a few on partime deals maybe ?

That's how I read it too and good on them for doing it early. I just wonder if that has affected any players? I'm sure in their hearts they want to do their best, but in their heads, have they already left? Hope not. They will still want to impress their new team!

O'Halloran, Howson, Hine, Poole, JJ, Allen, Norris, Livesey. these are the lads i personally don't think we will see next season. Not sure on JJ. You would assume they wouldn't offer him a contract since they sent him out on loan. But he did very well on loan and had a good game last week. I see a place for him, but you could be right. Poole I think won't want to hang around. He's good enough but from the gaffers point of view, possibly a liability in terms of fitness. Hine - Unfortunately, having a big throw isn't worthy of a contract. Shame, given the goals he's scored elsewhere. Howson - A real shame for him. IMO, he's done absolutely nothing wrong. If he hadn't been injured, who knows? But I don't see it happening for him. The others, unfortunately don't either play or perform to the required standard enough. Again, it's a shame, because an on-form Richie Allen is a joy to watch. But the gaffers have to make some cut-throat decisions with (I expect) a sensible budget.

I'd like to see Pooley stay. If the gaffers aren't worried about his fitness, then he may.
