Unsure of the ins and outs of it, but would the club be full of full time players or is there any scope to keep some squad players on part time deals? Especially if we end up staying in Conference North.
Although thinking about it, they'd not be able to make most of the training sessions so probably wouldn't be worth while.

I'm surprised at Richie Allen. We know how good he can be, but hasn't shown it. Then again, he's not had so much game time and Jonno did say in a post-match interview that he's doing the job they want him to do. But I'd like to see him attack more and have the confidence to go around players.

Yeah I agree. Done nothing to justify it. Thought the bar would have been set higher in terms of giving out full time deals.

I think the first four to sign are all consistent players, Richie Allen is a maverick that produces the goods when probably least expected. In a daft way he's the total opposite of what you'd call a Bernard and Jono type of player but has in his locker what none of the other players have. A bit of a wild card pick in my opinion BUT if he produces there nobody better!

speaking of training this will now cost them a fortune as they will have to be renting somewhere all day every day. surely it would of been better to build some facilities in the new stadium even if it was only a gym

He has something in his locker that is completely different and can potentially win us, or at least rescue, a game. I would have thought he'd be a prime example of Jonno's "no sentiment in football" mantra, to be honest. He might not even feature that much next year, but we'll need players and we don't want a massive overhaul. Hopefully he'll repay the managers' faith in him when the opportunities arise.

If he fires, then it will be a good decision. Maybe he should be given a free role. If we can afford to do that, he may do well.

So..... Scotty Burton and Mike Phenix have both signed 2 year full-time deals at the club! Excellent news and thoroughly deserved! Very positive news. Be interesting to see the other ins and outs at the end of the season. I guess some will depend on our success in the playoffs presuming we get there. Great news about Scott. I wouldn't have made the other signing if we go up we will need better just my opinion.

Whatever happened to Michael Itela? As far as I'm concerned given the right development and necessary game time I'm convinced he would or maybe even will in the future give us some much needed enthusiastic pace and a good eye for goal. He never let us down in any of the very few 1st team appearances he made. Anyone care to agree or otherwise?

Can't disagree TD, but all I would say is that it's hard to judge how he'd look in the current team. We never really got the chance to judge how he'd have been if he'd played in every game.

Last season we had Webber, Hulme, Poole, Seddon and Richie Allen popped up with 20 odd goals. It would make no sense at all to not offer our top scorer a deal if we went up as even with Phenix and Hulme I think we'd still need another 2.

Also a fan of his, he never let us down and agree with your comments and assessment TD but with no disrespect to Prestwich Heys or the level they are playing at but the fact that Micheal Itela is there and not a regular starter speaks for itself,
