A record attendance of 2049 present at Moor Lane tonight for the game against Halifax Town. Obviously a healthy contingent present from West Yorkshire but we've pushed close to the 2000 mark on a couple of occasions already this season. Long may it continue!

It's all relative and personal really. I've not seen any trouble since attending and moor lane is often a very welcoming and friendly place for both sets of supporters unlike a lot of grounds we will visit as we climb through the leagues I suppose there could be some who would view those who just sit in silence tutting, shaking their heads and looking to criticise everyone else as clowns

The increased crowd size so far this year hasn't caused any issues as personally I think we learnt from Darlo when we first played them at home. FC United were no trouble and Halifax last night were fine. So hopefully we won't get any at all this season.

what do you mean by clowns i never saw any trouble at the game last night. and if you mean rowdy people your going to get that with the increased attendance and i think it adds to the atmosphere its nice to see some of the new supporters are so animated about the team

Fair play to the Halifax fans also. They traveled in good numbers for a Tuesday night, and were also respectful (unlike another ex league team who make out they are Superior but constantly name check Salford) and noisy at times.
I believe they have had some problems with a small element of their support this season but with such a good following you are always going to get that, no evidence at all last night I should add. The small group directly behind the goal with the drum also supported their team throughout even when down to 10 and 2-1 down.
Salford aside, I wouldn't be disappointed if these boys made it back into the league.

Take it from me.We are getting a few clowns. interesting, please elaborate. [br Well for one thing the stewards had to call the police because of an incident at the top gate as people were leaving the ground And their directors and some ladies who support us had to listen to language that went over the pale all through the game. But I suppose it depends on what standards we have.

I'm certainly no prude and have very definitely been known to use colourful language on the odd occasion but have to say that some of the chants heard last night were particularly cringeworthy. We've always prided ourselves on our wit and humour and I'd like to think that we're far more original - as well as taking into consideration those around us - in our vocal support for the team we follow then having to use effin this and effin that 'songs' aimed at opposition fans of which a number were in close proximity. It ain't big and it's definitely not clever! Also, the quicker we get the ground developed the better which will put an end to the over crowding that we now see in the Nevile Road stand - particularly when the weather is really bad - which is resulting in a number of seated spectators having their views obstructed by others who stand on the steps instead of at the back of the stand.

The view is crap and it's difficult to create any atmosphere with any noise generated simply drifting away! Now when we get those covered stands behind each goal then it'll be a different story all together.
