With all due respect my post was in reply to 'returntosender' who is without a shadow of doubt the most negative person I have ever seen on a forum who actually supports the team and isn't a 'troll'. My post was also with regards to his post about last nights game! Granted, the team didn't play like Barcelona but with the state of the pitch which by the way in my opinion is the worst I've seen this season, was always going to be near impossible! You only have to look on the Rammy forum to see how good of a 'team' we have! A few on this forum, agree with what I said but say it in a different way.I was not critical of anyone.I am entitled to my opinion,if we play well I am the first to say so.And I will be there on Saturday shouting the lads on.

We HAVE missed too many chances in our recent games, and against better opposition, that has cost us. I hate to agree with sender.... :-).... but it's not negative to point out that we are missing too many chances. It's a fact. Hine has missed a number of sitters and our decision-making in front of goal has been a little off. It didn't make any difference the other night, but we need to be more clinical in front of goal.
But we played well, even if it was against poor opposition. We ARE making chances, which is a positive. Players are getting back into form. Richie looks bang in form again, and it's just his fitness now. He faded later on. Seds had his best game since he returned. I think he's lost a little pace since last season, but looked sharp. Great to see him get a goal, and hopefully that will bring more?
Overall, no complaints. We won a game 4-0 when the pressure was on. But let's be honest about our recent performances.

Nothing wrong with being honest i just cant single out players ive done it once with regards the defence regretably we have a new lad been with us 2 mins and he has been singled out as missing too many chances sorry everyone but i just dont see the logic in it when we have had lads with is for much longer who havent been nowhere near as effective as they should of been but as ive stated i wont be singling any off em out and yes i know im prob gonna be getting a right load off everyone but stuff ive got bug shoulders

For a lad who's only just signed, Hines for me has a great scoring record, yes he's missed a couple but given chance to settle, I'm in no doubt he'll be banging them in. I personally would rather us have a slight dip now and crack on when the pressure mounts later on in the season. Despite the minor disagreements, we all know we've got two top draw managers, and a class squad as a whole, im buzzing for the next few weeks.

Defo pal thats my only worry people pressing panick button or reading stuff on hear we have THE BEST managment duo around simple as that and ill take anyone to task who says otherwise. We get entertained down moorlane weather we put our chances away or not ENTERTAINMENT IS ALWAYS THE KEY

I agree about the management, but I think they will be as concerned about our finishing as I am.Because their jobs could depend on it.

I hope you're wrong pal, I personally feel that if we as a club are going to move forward from this league, that Bern and Jonno are the men to do it, wether it's this season or another. And despite sacking Phil I do believe that the owners really want that continuity of the management, we've come a long way in a short space of time, I reckon Bern and Jonno have more than earned the owners patience, and not forgetting we're still 3rd in the table and I reckon we're going up this year.

I don't think the managers jobs are on the line if we don't go up.... what right as a club do we have compared to others to expect instant promotion. Yes I get the owners want that, but i'm sure they're realistic. Yes the "target" should be promotion but this is a new challenge for the club with it's highest ever position, so we have achieved helluva lot in a short space of time, not forgetting an excellent FA Cup run that has seen the club gain over £250k income, that's effectively £250k less than what the owners would have to put in towards ground developments etc.
I think unless Jonno and Bern want to leave, they will be here for the foreseeable future and beyond.

I agree with you and the dude. Analysing between the lines, I think Phil Power was given a shot at the start of last season because the new owners did not want to be the type of people who just came into a club and sacked existing staff. However, when it appeared as if Power couldn't get the job done at the levels of professionalism the owners now expected, then he was replaced by people they did deem suitable. I think this had more to do with how he was coaching and managing a team of higher caliber players as opposed to the results and league position per se. The documentary corroborates this theory, but then I am aware that editing plays a key part in how any form of film is presented and received. Technically, Jonno and Bernard are in the roughly the same position at the same point in the season as Power had us, only one league higher, but I don't think they will be sacked if we don't go up next year - it may, however, put a little pressure on them to do better next season. Good managers don't grow on trees, and I think Neville and co. know that we have a good thing going for the long term.

First of all, lets get one thing strait. I am not having a go at anyone. No one likes Bernard and Jono, more than me.

I don't think anyone is suggesting that you dislike them. I get what you are saying: football is all in all a results business, and with the high expectations of the club, their job could eventually be on the line if Salford don't get it done on the pitch at one stage or another.
What subsequent posts are expressing is the belief that J&B will definitely be in the hot seats next season whether we go up or not. They deserve to be, as I'm sure most if not all will agree. I personally think that if we miss out this year, then everyone influential at the club (owners, managers, scouts, and coaching staff) will ensure that we are in an even stronger position next season.

Well after seeing the highlights the game should of been 6-0.
The 2 goals disallowed for offside were incorrect.

Bernard and Jonno are the future, irrespective of how this season goes. No matter what players you bring in, it doesn't make a team. That's down to the managers inspiring the players and building a culture that makes them want to play for each other. But sometimes, it isn't quite good enough, and you dust yourself down and try again.
But can we agree that any moans and groans on here are what a forum is for. It doesn't mean we want players sold or managers sacked. This is where WE let off steam, and get any frustrations out of our system.
