Local, I do see your point when you put it in those terms. However, it is more than just a few "newbies" moaning in this case. There's quite a lot of disquiet across a few social media platforms, and you can count me - an eleven year veteran - in among a few "oldies" who are at the very least disappointed with how it has worked out. That said, I might put it in slightly different terms to some. I appreciate that Andy G has come on here to explain the situation, and I suppose there's nothing more that we can do about it now. That said, I think that whatever the circumstances surrounding what has happened - whether we put it down as regrettable, unavoidable, etc. - it is still a bit of an embarrassment for the fans to be put out of the new facilities, and Stockport are just about this worst club (along with Darlington) that something like this could happen against. There's no changing the facts that they charged £15.00 full adult to put away fans in the crappest end of their ground (and their fans make no bones about saying that they couldn't care less about away supporters, for they are a "massive" club and think the prices are fine because they want to get back to league football, etc., etc.) while they are getting the best stand at ours for the cheapest price in the league. From a fans' perspective, we are going to look like a bit of a laughing stock, regardless of whether the arrangements could be helped or not. As I said, there's nothing more we can do now. I just hope we stuff them. By the way, I was at that Ossett game. It was biting bloody freezing and the ref added something like six minutes injury time. I just wanted to go home at that point and throw my feet into the fire. Furthermore, for them to say that they will boycott programmes and food because they didn't get enough tickets or can't stream the game illegally or whatever is frankly pathetic. They've had generous allocation and accommodation (though the number of tickets given to them doesn't bother me). I'd like to put this to bed. There was not going to be an illegal stream. Stockport County had agreed with BTSport, the FA, The National League and Salford City a stream of the match that would have been available to all, and at no cost to anybody but Stockport County and the guy filming (who bought new equipment specifically for this game). Salford City changed their mind after the match had already sold out. Those are facts. As for the game a point was probably fair. Best of luck for the rest of the season except if we meet again in the playoffs

You still got a decent stand for a low price, though ;-) Not the greatest game in not the greatest conditions. I'm very happy with a point from that one. Possibly see you in the playoffs.

Best of luck for the rest of the season except if we meet again in the playoffs I've heard a totally different version of events from our head of media confirming why Stockport County weren't allowed to stream the game. Seems their people approached a monkey instead of an organ grinder and made a lot of assumptions as well as actually not being allowed to film by a number of different bodies. Too easy to try and make Gary Neville or Salford City Football Club the scapegoat!

My lad isnt over the moon about going to games or singing again and that is WRONG. Ill be in the stand tuesday night so if that said person wants to come and see me if hes got a problem come and tell me not my son 👍

That's a bit surprising Broughton, I thought the whole atmosphere was friendly and without any hint of trouble, it's a real shame if one idiot tarnished a good day. As for the game I thought a draw was about right, Salford bossed possession but I thought we created the better chances, I really hope we both make the play offs.

Salford is a family club and ive never had anything like this happen but 1 idiot has propper naffed me off. On the game you defo should of scored another 2nd half at 0-1 but we were defo good for a couple of goals oursleves and on the crowd it looks like all the bollards spoke on social media was exactly that you were in good voice and hope you enjoyed your visit 👍

The county fans were as well behaved as any I've seen. A credit to their club. I loved the Giggs chant. Best of luck to county for the rest of the season.

ironic chant of the day from the Salford fans in the old stand yesterday
"we don't need a drum to sing" at the county fans and then banging the rhythm on the back of the stand starts up "you've only come to see the Salford"
all joking apart great effort from the lads and lasses in the stand, one or two non family chants but great effort, thanks to one and all it really made for a good atmosphere

Drums, jester hats and face paint - certainly as far as adults are concerned - have no place in football! Having endured 45 minutes of Ossett Albion fans beating continuously on a drum for 45 minutes a few seasons ago has left me traumatised to the extent that I cannot bear to hear one near to me ever again!
After a relatively quiet first half in the Nevile Road stand - despite the best efforts of our younger fans - it was good that the Salford fans finally found their voices in the second half. As regards the non family chants I have to admit to joining in the chants directed at County scorer Danny Lloyd who really deserves any vitriol directed his way. Probably the most objectionable and classless individual that we've come across for a long time!

If you think losing at home to Ossett Albion was bad you should have been at Wakefield - the next to bottom side - on the following Tuesday night when we lost 2-0 at Wakefield Trinity's Belle Vue Rugby League ground in front of 48 spectators!
Wakefield 0-2? How about losing 1-8 at Wakefield on Tuesday 10th March, 2009? The total attendance may have been greater than 48; however, there was only you, me, and Percy stood behind the goal supporting the team that night. "We've got more goals against us than fans."The attendance that night was a massive 98 and Stuart Rudd equalised just before half time. Don't think that any of us present - after our 5-3 win at Lancaster City just three days earlier - expected us to concede seven times after the break with present Halifax Town player Tom Denton helping himself to a five goal haul! thetravellingfan.blogspot.co.uk/2009/03/lancaster-city-vs-salford-city-070309.html

There are always some individuals that just wind you up - and it's got absolutely nothing to do with the fact that he's scored twice against us this season! I didn't like the way he celebrated his goal against us, the late challenge he put in the same afternoon when he lost out on a 50-50 ball, his antics after being substituted and the way he behaved against us at Edgeley Park earlier in the season. There's been no one that has got my back up as much since Ossett Albion's Kajagoogoo lookalike Shane Kelsey did a few seasons ago!
