I'm just wondering given our last three results/performances in the league how we're going to approach this game. I really hope that we field as strong a side as possible as a swift return to winning ways would be crucial in restoring confidence and self belief in the side. Bradford our clearly struggling in the league and there appears to be a lot going on behind the scenes which seems to be having an unsettling effect at the club - both on and off the field - which probably means our opponents will be really up for this game!
We saw the many benefits an extended FA Cup run can produce last season and I would dearly love to see us repeat that feat sooner than later. Irrespective of that however, it is vital that we get back to a winning mentality with hopefully a decent performance to match ahead of our next league fixture at home to Brackley Town a week this Saturday.

I would personally be devastated to lose this cup tie against a Bradford side that has accrued just 3 league points out of a possible 33 to date and certainly do not subscribe to the fact that the FA Cup is an unwanted and unnecessary distraction. Not only have we now finished all our scheduled midweek league games for this year - barring any FA Cup replays of course - but we've also got the added benefit of having four less league games to play than last season, no pointless league cup competition as well as playing one less qualifying round in the FA Cup and two less in the FA Trophy. Up for the Cup!!

Just re-watched highlights from our great cup wins against Curzon and Whitby from last season. Must admit I'd forgotten what a thrill the cup run was. Also you forget how small the crowds were at those early cup games. Hope we get a really big club in the 3rd round.

Funnily enough I watched the Notts County game again last night - including all the pre-match and post match interviews - for the umpteenth time as I don't think I will ever tire of seeing it again and again. You're right in saying though that the qualifying rounds were equally memorable what with the Pooley hat-trick in the 5-0 away replay at Whitby Town, the then rare win over Curzon Ashton, the backs to the wall extra-time victory at Bradford (Park Avenue) courtesy of Richie Allen and the never to be forgotten winner by James Poole from the half way line against Southport in the final qualifying round as well of course our two games against Hartlepool United in the 2nd round proper. I'd love to have the opportunity of facing a league side again!

I would have to agree but we ONLY need to win five games to reach the FA Cup 3rd round proper whereas there are presently still 31 league fixtures left to play - with maybe an extra two if we got into the play offs.

Not sure there will be major changes. They want to win.
