Might upset people here, but that was poor imo today.
Had maybe 2 or 3 shots on target all game. The second half was spent lumping the ball up to the forwards, it didnt work, but we continued to play that tactic.
Substitutions had very little effect when they came on.
Where was Hine, not on the bench! Yes i agree he should of been dropped but to not have him on the bench after paying money for him. To be honest if he was on the pitch he probably wouldnt of scored as we didnt give webber or poole any great service today.
Why am i venting this frustration? Whitby.. according to the evostik league are the worst away team in the division, yet we didnt score against them.
Blyth, Darlo, Stourbridge and Ashton al won today.

Absolutely sick as the proverbial parrot after that result today. Could blame the conditions underfoot but it was the same for both sides and let's be honest other than maybe for a short spell towards the end of the game Whitby were one of the poorest sides we've come up against this season. Unfortunately we just didn't show enough craft or invention upfront and when will we finally get to see someone convincingly get onto the end of a corner kick - assuming of course that it gets far enough in the first place. With all our rivals taking maximum points, with the exception of ourselves and Workington whose game was postponed, the loss of two points today is a real body blow to our aim of finishing in third place at worst. We simply cannot afford a similar outcome at Ramsbottom on Monday.

Abysmal first half, slight improvement 2nd half but the conditions didn't help at all
Very poor showing
One of the most frustrating things for me is the distribution from the defence especially the full backs, it's just head down and put the foot through it, no vision, no direction, nothing
One massive plus for me though was the debut of Priestly, looked very good
We go again Monday

Hine cannot play, the boy is injured. The first half was a none event, the second their keeper made at least four good saves, then they could have pinched it at the end, only being thwarted by Jay Lynch. In my opinion Richie Allen should have done a lot better with a couple of chances he got.If we are saying Whitby are not very good, what does that make us.Yes results went against us today, but I don't think its time to get the rope out just yet, still a lot of football to be played.Up the Ammies.

In his post-match interview following the Sutton Coldfield game, Bernard was wary of getting carried away with ourselves after two wins on the bounce. He was right to exercise such caution. We haven't won three consecutive league games since beating Rushall (19/12/15), Hyde (28/12/15), and Barwell (02/01/16). Today, it was another case of missed opportunities costing us points.
We looked solid enough at the back again, though Whitby didn't offer much until the last ten minutes or so, but unlike the Halesowen and Sutton games, we were missing that bit of quality in the final third when it mattered. Whitby, to their credit, defended well and got the point that they clearly set out to gain. Their 'keeper also made four decent saves. When you add Richie's missed header and Scott hitting over the bar at the far post following a corner (not to mention several long-range efforts off target) that's five or six half-decent chances to score that we failed to take. Unfortunately, and this isn't the first time it's been said of us this season, we must be more clinical at this level.
I don't know why people are still mentioning Blyth and Darlo, as those teams have realistically if not mathematically gone for us this season. It's Workington, Ashton, and Stourbridge that I'm worried about. One from that group (along with us, of course) is missing out on the play offs. We need to keep winning and hope that these other teams drop a few elsewhere, which I'm sure they will. However, it is becoming a question of how many more points can we drop if we expect to be in the play offs at the end of the season. At this stage of the season we need wins however they come. There's nothing else to do but go into Rammy tomorrow and try and pick up three points there.

I don't think we can drop anymore, but I also think others teams will drop points, also I would not worry about upsetting anybody, you like me and others are entitled to your opinion.

The lads have sorted our defensive problems out over the past month which is a massive plus for us the lads we can see the difference having Gaz and Scott in the middle correct me if im wrong but we havent conceded a goal since they teamed up again helps the defence out massively and i get Whitby didnt off much going forward but they defended very well yesterday and maybe our fullbacks should look to play it inside more rather than down the flanks id like to see more 1-2's with our wide men and midfield we're a fitter team than most so the extra wirk rate needed shouldnt be a problem this would create the space to get in behind stuborn defences (imo). Something that did bother me was not getting back onside quick enough when its clear the next ball is gonna be hoofed Howson set himself up to clear our lines it was clear to everyone where the ball was gonna go before he hit it i put it down naivety and the though he would get away with it but its something some of the more experianced lads could do with having a word with him about as its diffent to miss timing a pass or run to just not getting back. Another point for me the game should of been abandoned 2nd half the standing water took our game away and the risk of injury was massive lads were flying in on tackles and carrying on for 5 feet i know many would disagree with me as lads never complained i bet george isnt happy

I agree game should have been abandoned at half time did the ref ask the 2 captains at the start of the second half that very question. Think we need another season in the premier division to regroup. Because what happens when we run out of Rammy players to sign.
