Massive win at Halesowen Town tonight - particularly with Stourbridge, Ashton United and Barwell all dropping points - with an absolute second half stunner of a goal from Richie Allen. Really can't wait to see that one on the highlights and to see how on earth he managed to score from such an incredibly acute angle. A vast improvement performance wise from last weekend in terms of work rate and desire and to be honest I thought the single goal margin of victory flattered our opponents over the whole 90 minutes. Great to see Poole and Burton back in the line up with Pooley in particular putting in a very useful shift. Credit also to the seven fans - excluding committee members - who made the trip to support the lads. We had a really good night and nice to hear many of the home fans wishing us all the best for the season after the final whistle.

Rarely has the chant "we're only a few but we're louder than you" been more appropriate. We represented the team well despite small numbers, and it was all in good fun and a great atmosphere none the less.
A definite improvement on the pitch against a Halesowen side who got stuck in and made it difficult for us, especially in the first half. Overall, we deserved our win, having stepped it up and controlled the game from the second half. The goal from Allen was worthy of winning any game, and somewhat reminiscent of Jordan's winner at Frickley back in October.

Good to see Allen getting back to his best. I thought he'd come back from injury too soon. Good results elsewhere as well.

Yep voice has gona again!! But well worth it you could see in the warm up the lads were up for it some great football especially in the 15/20 mins before HT. To be fair to hailsowen they were just as up for the contest some real strong challenges going Chris lynch taking the brunt of em a few times a real credit to our team and non-league football that lad. I recommend that fans watch the lads warm up closely for the 30 mins prior to KO it really opens your eyes to how much it means to em and the team spirit with inn the squad its great take Gaz Stopforth hes a beast in the warm up sprint drills its no wonder just how fit that lads is frightening. Stevie O encouraging the lads Danny webber and Scott challenging each other the banter between the lads. I know people like a pre match pint me more than most but give it ago.

Great win for us away from home, and sets us up nicely for this Saturdays game against Sutton Coldfield. Good to hear Allen once again on the score sheet, and also it was good to see Hine not starting. Don't like anyone being dropped, but it shows the team isn't picked beforehand.... everyone has to work for their place.
Let's hope it continues and make a serious push for the play-offs.

A top away-day all round, and good to hear Jonno's appreciation of the fans at the end of his post-match interview.
