All we can do is carry on! Results have been far from being consistent, but the season isn't over and we have to push and finish as high as we can. If we don't make the play-offs then we set the standard for next season and ensure we achieve a higher position.
If we make the play offs and win then we deserve to go up, as the old cliché goes.... the table doesn't lie. Personally, I wouldn't be devastated if we didn't get promotion, I hope we do, but it wouldn't be end of the world. We will come back even stronger.... if we get promoted will we be able to challenge? Possibly, we have shown this season in the FA Cup we can compete, but for me it's all about playing at the highest level. If we can get promoted and again set a standard, it gives the team a target for the season after, and the season after that.
It's all about progression..... have we progressed this season?? YES, we went the furthest the club has ever been, and wherever we finish this season it will also be the highest, as we've been in the unknown this season.

Agreed.
There seems to be polarized viewpoints with posters on this forum. I think some misunderstand that there is a difference between supporting your team from game to game regardless of result/performance and posting a critical opinion on each result/performance on a forum designed for such a purpose. One can do both.
I will be there again on Tuesday, and make no mistake, I will be willing the team to do well in that game and every subsequent game. My opinions on the match on here after the game will depend on what I've witnessed first hand. It doesn't change my support.

If we, as a forum, are not critical of our team, then we shouldn't have a forum. This is where we dissect every area of our game. This is where we praise our players when they perform. This is where we praise our owners and managers. This is where we try and figure out, as rank amateurs, what went wrong when we lose.
But it's also the place where we can be critical of the club and those on and off the pitch. That's what a forum is for. A forum is NOT for toeing the company line and refusing to say anything bad about the club. Just as long as it stays on here, and we're back out on game day, cheering and supporting our team. It's unfortunate if anyone criticised ever reads these threads, but they should take it at face value and realise that the next game, they will probably be a hero.
So can we all the and understand how a forum works? Then we can spend our time discussing the team and not whether a post-type should be made on the forum, or whether anyone has the right to criticise the team. As a paying supporter, they have every right to their opinion, just as anyone else has the right to disagree. But a forum where members only post the nice stuff, isn't a forum.

I think as long as no-one gets extremely personal, and behaves in a respectable way then there is no issue! As a paying supporter everyone has a right to voice their opinion, hence why we created this forum!
Happy posting everyone! ;-)
