Hello,
New to the forum, and was looking for some info on attending a Salford City match. Staying in Manchester the weekend of the Sutton Coldfield Town match (19th March) and a few of us fancy going to the match.
How far from the city centre is the ground? Planning on getting a taxi from around the Arndale centre to the ground. Are there any pubs/social clubs nearby the ground for a pre-match pint? Are you able to get a pint at the match?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum.......... so the game will be pay on the gate! Arndale to the Ground is porbably around 4-5 miles away. Roughly £15-£20 in a taxi! There's a couple of boozers in nearby Prestwich, and there's always the Kersal Social Club which I think broughton12 goes in? Beer will be plentiful within the clubhouse and will be more than welcome to sup your pint beside the pitch whilst watching the game!

It's probably not as bad as is used to be but if you are getting a taxi make sure you tell the driver Salford City FOOTBALL and NOT the RUGBY club. It used to be a regular thing that drivers would head to virtually the oppoisite end of the Salford boundary.
