With all the threads on Darlo and Ilkestan we seemed to of misplaced this game on the back of other threads. For me this is our biggest game of the season tonight for a couple of reasons
1. The lads heads must be on the floor after saturday a game in which we should of won with ease and came away with nothing (take stamford last night). Bernards interview was spot on now isnt the time to rant and rave and point fingers all over the place and blame this and that. Its the old back to basics speech do the simple things well and the rest will come along.
2. A good win tonight will go along way to putting us back on track for promotion which is still in our hands. Build up some momentum for last 3rd of the season were lucky in that we do play the teams around us so we CAN effect our own destiny and not have to rely on others to do it for us
If poss lets get a big crowd 40mins down the road by car M62 M57 turn left signes for crosby either leave before 16:00 get some tea down there or 18:45 bit parking is a mare.
SALFORD SALFORD SALFORD SALFORD

I think Bernard was spot on, and he acknowledges that we have been out of sorts for the past month. A few have mentioned the recent problems on here already, but the difference is that Bernard, as one half of the management team, has the responsibility of getting the team back focused, motivated, and playing the football that they are more than capable of. The players also have to takes some responsibility on the pitch. As fans, our job is to support the team through good and bad times. I don't think that there is any question that the hardcore support will continue to do so. We may number less than the fans of some other teams, but we have a good core of support. Hopefully see a few at Marine tonight.
I agree that tonight is a massive game for us. First and foremost, it is a chance to stop the rot. But with the top eight spots being tightly contested in a tough league, three points is becoming vital in pretty much every game if we are to stay in the promotion race; however, I will take an improved performance and any old result tonight. We do still have it in our hands, but so do Ashton and Stourbridge. If Stour beat Ashton in both of their games, and then both teams win all their remaining fixtures, they will both finish above Salford. Whatever happens, I hope for a strong finish to the season. For me, it's as long as they give it their best shot. If it doesn't work out, there's always next year.

UP THE AMMIES!!
Massive game tonight and I am fully confident of a win. Not bothered about convincing football, Tuesday night away from home I'll take the 3pts however they come.
I believe in Morley and Jonno will kick a few backsides and get the guys back on track!

had some time to spare this morning so I found some interesting stuff about marine
as already mentioned they had the same manager for 33 years from 1972 - 2005
in 2001 they were subject to a 6 part tv series on itv called marine lives
they reached the fa cup 3rd round in the 92-93 season losing 3-1 to crewe
in 1949 marine played nigeria with a 4000 crowd on
kenny dalglish is a patron at the club

We've definitely got the group of players you'd want when it comes to fighting through a bad patch, and the right managers. They've all got the right character and I'm fully confident tonight will be the game we get back on track. Looking forward to the short trip there tonight, see you lot down there!

well that was much better than Saturday
Thought Stopforth coming back in tonight was massive and it shown, looked much more solid in the middle this evening and I think Clarke was superb in there along side him to, personally he was my motm, moved the ball around well, got stuck in all night and took his goal very well could see he we clearly fighting for his place tonight
Unsure why Jordan went off so early in the second half, I thought he wasn't great in the first half tbh but the sub did come rather quick.
Suprised both webber and seddon played another 90, be surprised to see him start Saturday now
Great 3 points with Blyth losing and Darlo dropping points, still along way to go yet
Thought the ground was good tonight to, apart from side near the dugouts
