Hard to see us getting much from this, but hope I'm wrong? We will look to rest a few players and that could go either way. We might have a storming game? That would certainly have one or two worrying about their place.
But i'll go into it with a view that I'm not too bothered about the cup, and hopefully, we play well, and perhaps sneak something.

I would very much like to see us progress in this competition particularly with it being Ramsbottom who very definitely need to be brought down a peg or two! A good opportunity as well for players to show what they can do and probably much better for them than just training. We've no midweek games now until probably next year so I don't see fixture congestion being a problem at this stage of the season.

It would be great to have another competition to think about, I would definitely like to see Kirby and Chadwick start the game, then change it throughout the game if needed. It's a game I'm not expecting much from, but I would like to see a decent effort by everyone.
Rammy on good form, but I still believe if our players play to their strengths and put in a good shift we can beat anyone!!

Shame about this game. It was there for the taking and the team were let down by Seddon's sending off. I really don't understand what's going through his head at the moment? Squaring up to players on a regular basis. Giving the linesman abuse the other week and arguing with the manager at the last home game. Silly, silly sending off.
Even with 10 men, I think we matched them for much of the game? We do seem to be showing slow improvement each game, but there are still some problems. Madeley needs some support. The poor guy runs his heart out and gets very little help from anyone. No wonder he was subbed.
Edgehill......sorry, but he's a weak link in that defence. Playing attackers onside and playing around with the ball around our penalty area. Platt for me, was one of the stars early season. We definitely missed him when he was injured. But I'd like him back now please! He's been all but invisible for most of the games and his corner taking.....shocking. One of them never left the ground and he was trying to cross it.
Webber is a strange one. For some, perhaps he's seen as an asset? But for me, he does the hard work and then gives a stray pass. He's also shot-shy. He needs to have more faith in his ability to shoot maybe? But for me, his work rate isn't enough. He's potentially one of our big earners, but I sometimes feel he's coasting. I'd like him to finish a few of those jinxing runs with a shot.
Lynchy was MOM again for me. Always mopping up at the back and always seems to be in the right place. Gave everything tonight. Can't fault him.
I wasn't too fussed about this cup, but as a game of football I stood in the cold to watch, I'm disappointed that we didn't take our chances and put them under more pressure. But overall, it should give us some confidence that we can get results against better teams. I don't think we were ever outplayed and we were unlucky to concede that last minute third goal.
But it's back to the league and if nothing else, we now have just one thing to focus on!

Shame about this game. It was there for the taking and the team were let down by Seddon's sending off. I really don't understand what's going through his head at the moment? Squaring up to players on a regular basis. Giving the linesman abuse the other week and arguing with the manager at the last home game. Silly, silly sending off. Players like Danny Webber and Gareth Seddon should be more than aware of most of the consequences of their actions and have let down their manager, team mates and supporters by over reacting to fairly innocuous challenges from opposing players. Both will now sit out three game bans each which will do little to enhance our promotion prospects. There was absolutely no need for Seddon to react to Osebi Abedaki's initial challenge the way he did. Still, I suppose they'll both be able to have a nice restful Christmas break instead. Even with 10 men, I think we matched them for much of the game? We do seem to be showing slow improvement each game, but there are still some problems. Madeley needs some support. The poor guy runs his heart out and gets very little help from anyone. No wonder he was subbed. Your right, Sam puts everything into his game but I just can't understand why he keeps on falling or slipping over. Is it something to do with his studs or what? Certainly needs looking at as he got behind the Rammy defence in the 1st half with some really neat footwork only to then fall to the ground when he looked clear on goal!Edgehill......sorry, but he's a weak link in that defence. By definition Phil Edgehill is not a full back and he gets turned far oo easily and Nicky Platt appears to be going sideways most of the time and is not the same player at the moment who put 3 past us when FC United beat us 3-2 at Moor Lane in the FA Cup.Webber is a strange one. I can't understand Webbers reluctance to shoot either, particularly as he's scored some cracking goals in the early part of the season. Personally think he's lacking in confidence at the moment and that the enforced ban might actually do him some good.Lynchy was MOM again for me. Always mopping up at the back and always seems to be in the right place. Gave everything tonight. Can't fault him. Can't disagree with that statement.I wasn't too fussed about this cup, but as a game of football I stood in the cold to watch, I'm disappointed that we didn't take our chances and put them under more pressure. But overall, it should give us some confidence that we can get results against better teams. I don't think we were ever outplayed and we were unlucky to concede that last minute third goal. I actually wanted us to well in this competition. Although we created two or three really decent chances in the second half I thought that Rammy were far more mobile and effective than we were and might well have scored at least three more goals late on as they continually found acres of space in our half. But it's back to the league and if nothing else, we now have just one thing to focus on! Unless there is a serious re-think and change in tactics, formation and appliance I have to say that I am genuinely concerned about our future prospects. The swagger and togetherness appears to have dissipated from our recent performances and we are being given the runaround by too many teams for my liking. The forthcoming absence of our two 'star' players will ask a lot of questions over the next few games. I just pray that someone has the answers!

You never know. Players my come in and shine, in the absence of Seddon and Webber?

Well at least James Kirby will get a proper run out!
