The first issue of the OLD DEAD TREE fanzine will be on sale outside the Peninsula Stadium before the home game vs AFC Wimbledon on October 5th.

Looking forward to this which will be a welcome alternative to the club having decided to dispense with their official programme. Seems like there's a lot of interest already being shown and I'm pretty certain the first issue will sell out very quickly!

Yippee, Well done everyone who put this idea into action. Whilst I thought that other than the innovative covers, our programme was for the most part rubbish, but as a keen programme collector anything that was put out as a salford programme was worthy of keeping as part of the collection.
I hope this meets with fantastic sales, and I am quite happy to either provide some interesting articles for inclusion, or being one of the sellers if needed.

  Have you managed to get the same cover designers as those responsible for the official SCFC matchday programme covers of recent years, Danny? I was once told that the clever creators of those iconic covers were Andrew Gordon and his dad... is that right? There's certainly been some very witty, very original, cover designs over the seasons. And some were little works of art to boot.

Personally, I hope we've gone for something different. Yes there were some clever and innovative designs but equally so there were a number that quite frankly were just plain awful and irrelevant to a game of football.

We’ll be having a minimum of three sellers around the outside of the stadium so you’ll be able to find us no problem

We’re operating on a cash only basis so please bring the correct change for the £3 issue.

We’ll have sellers outside the club shop, next to the north stand turnstile, and others near the entrances to the west and south stand. We’re all in fanzine branded hi viz so you won’t be able to miss us.
