Season tickets have been announced for the coming season and they're certainly causing a stir with some very large % increases. www.salfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2024/may/21/prices-announced-for-2024-25-season-tickets/My season ticket in the West Stand has gone up by 50% which on the face of it sounds horrendous having gone from £100 to £150. Having said that it still represents extremely good value working out at £6.52 per gam which is still ridiculously cheap for League football considering what you'd be paying at least two if not three levels below us. Let's face it, since the Class Of '92 takeover we have been spoilt with respect to admission prices. Prior to next season I'll have had 10 season tickets which have cost me £80 with the exception of the last couple of seasons which went up to £100. Being a senior citizen obviously helps as well as being an 'original' supporter in the early days of the takeover which gave me extra pricing 'privileges' but I can understand how difficult it may well be for a family of say four or five given the % increases. It'll be interesting to see how the new prices affect the take up and whether we'll still have people buying them but never attending which has been the annoying case for too long now. It's also equally interesting to see that the club intend bringing in a categorisation scheme for games which will perhaps see fixtures banded as Gold, Silver and Bronze which will presumably see a tiered price structure depending probably on the size of the away following or those who charge us exorbitant prices at their grounds with Crewe and Wimbledon as prime examples. Such a scheme should further incentivise renewing or buying new season tickets. I await the announcement of pay on the day prices with obvious interest!

Just for comparisons sake I've enclosed a link to last seasons ticket prices which makes for interesting reading particularly as the flat rate across the stadium is no longer in operation with the biggest rise being seen in the North and South stand adult renewal prices which have risen from £180 to £250 which I'm certain will result in some South Stand standing fans going back to the West Stand together with senior rates which have jumped from £100 to £175! www.salfordcityfc.co.uk/news/2023/july/04/ticket-update-040723/

I'm a "protected" senior in South Stand but a 75% increase is quite frankly appalling. I understand that we've been very lucky in having extremely low prices up till now but it doesn't make the sudden huge jump any more palatable. I suspect a few may fall by the wayside this season. Personally I'm taking the month's renewal period to ponder whether to bother given the absolute dross served up for most of last season and the upcoming Sky contract which will doubtless wreck the traditional 3pm Saturday and 7.45 midweek slots.
I see they've abandoned the kids rates which from the press release it seems accounted for a lot of the North Stand empty seats where people bought 2 or 3 for a bit of elbow room. I can't fathom quite why they've hiked child prices so much rather than just cancelling the renewal option for the phantom seats and putting them on general sale. Another couple of snippets from the FAQ. There's a slight change to the subsidised away travel in that it's now a perk just for ST holders. The other that made me chuckle was trying to say that priority access to away tickets was a bonus for ST holders. Like we ever sell out!

I'm 'protected' also, but I'll be honest, before I realised that was a thing, it made me pause and consider whether I wanted to got from £100 to £250. As it stands, a 50% increase on the face of it sounds horrendous and if this were anyone else, we wouldn't pay it. But we have to remember how low they have kept our tickets for so long. I think a gradual increase should have been happening, but it's still good value compared to our peers. The reason increase is twofold. We the supporters have to contribute to facilities and the cost of players. That's how it works. We knew this was going to happen one day. But it makes me angry seeing the same old empty seats around me in the North Stand and if this increases discourage that, then I'm all for it.

This was earlier than I expected! July last year wasn't it? Still good value compared to most but then I'm not an 'original fan' so I can understand the trepidation.
Hopefully the increase will deter the empty seat brigade, hopefully they'll see their increase as not being at all worth it. The ground/club needs more bums on seats one way or another

I've not seen that regarding subsidised coach travel for ST holders only? I'll be getting a season ticket again even though now being involved with Whalley Range AFC will mean that I'll only watch Salford home AND away, irrespective of the competition, whenever Whalley aren't playing on the same day. Have actually seen far more Salford games than I expected to do this season though due to the never ending rain which resulted in continual postponements at non league level!

From the website I can do a lot of travel in my job, so I don't go to that many away games, but ST holders should get first dabs on coach tickets.

Ah I'd read it as only ST holders get the discount not that they get first option.

Am I right to be thinking New purchases aren't available yet? Do they get released after renewals are completed? I can't find anyway (even after logging in) to purchase new
