Just thought I’d share this for anyone not in attendance at the fans forum tonight. Karl’s contract is for this and the next two seasons. Also confirmed that the only player signed under Neil Wood that the owners imposed on Wood was Curtis Tilt. Really enjoyable to hear from the guests. Felt very frank and open. Much to the clubs credit. Plenty of other interesting stuff was said but that’s all for now.

Danny, I couldn’t make tonight, wondering if you’ll be doing a pod on what came out of the forum?

Echo what Paul said above - a podcast on this would be awesome for those of us who couldn't make the meeting.🙌

Am I right in thinking it was videoed with a view to publishing it to fans?

And apparently Kelly N'mai's available again for Saturday's Notts County game; so that gives us another handy option.

Am I right in thinking it was videoed with a view to publishing it to fans? I think that I did hear/read that, somewhere official. Certainly the guy from Sky was there recording it all.

More than happy to fit some fan forum content into my podcast this weekend. I can’t remember half of what was said but I’ll do my best to give total recall. Due to a problem with the Wi-Fi signal I wasn’t able to record an episode with Karl tonight after the forum. The recording’s been rearranged to next Thursday instead. Should be available on Spotify by the end of the month

Am I right in thinking it was videoed with a view to publishing it to fans? From the SCFC site - "For those who can’t make it you can submit questions to be asked to media@salfordcityfc.co.uk, and the forum will be filmed and sent to season ticket holders afterwards".

Nicky Butt mentioned the possibility of a stadium expansion which I presume would have to be done on the Moor Lane side of the ground as there's no room on the other three sides. If we get to the Championship then both goal end stands would have to be converted to seating areas which would obviously impact on our capacity.
Suggestion made regarding goal celebration music. I personally would be against that sort of thing as I feel it's up to supporters to generate that sort of thing.
The problem with parking was again raised but there doesn't appear to be any ready made solution to the problem particularly with the park and ride service not being utilised to anywhere near its capacity.
Nicky Butt has reaffirmed his commitment to the club, as well as his partners, and stated that they will not walk away from the club and are all fully committed to taking the club further up the leagues. He also confirmed that Peter Lim is not pulling out.
There's a new commercial manager starting next week with view to increasing the clubs profile in order to generate a greater awareness and interest with the hope of increasing attendances at Moor Lane.
Catering at the ground was also discussed with the head of matchday operations and problems were acknowledged as well as reasons given for them. There is an ongoing intent to improve the catering and service all round.
KR and NB discussed the departures of Touray, Bailey and Bolton and the reasons for them.
Needless to say there were no discussions regarding any player departures at the end of the season for very obvious reasons!
The Director of Finance introduced himself, told us his background and talked generally about season ticket sales, prices, matchday initiatives and the costs involved of running an EFL club.
KR was entertaining as well as giving us an insight into his philosophy and his relationship with the owners including the decision making process regarding potential new recruits.

Some of us had a brief chat with KR after the fans' forum ended, and he came down off the stage. ... No wonder the players perform so well for him - when you're stood next to him he's a lot bigger and scarier than you'd think.

I couldn’t get there either in the end, but it sounds like a good meeting. My mate briefed me on the Luke Bolton negotiations or rather lack of them. Good luck to him but I do think it’s bad manners not to even discuss things with the club.
At least he’s now at a club where he is playing his (apparently) favourite position of wing back, but only as a sub. He hasn’t started for the last six games and I believe another aspect of his move is that it opened the door for Luamba. They say the grass isn’t always greener……
I have to acknowledge that I was wrong to defend Bolton as a player, because Luamba knocks spots off Bolton!
