I presume this is why he wasn't included yesterday in case he gets injured and scuppers a deal. I doubt he'd have put much effort in. I imagine once a compromise offer is made that he'll be off. A promotion chase obviously sounds far more enticing than a relegation fight.

From what we've heard is we offered 100k but you want 200/250k
Personally think 100k is too much but we're desperate due to injurys and that will hold its weight.
If you do end up keeping him where do you reckon he plays

Firstly - and I think this needs saying, he is a Salford City Player. The entitled fan base of Stockport County and whoever in their web team wrote that snivelling snippet on the website should remember we are not here to be some sort of feeder club to this weird divine right they seem to have towards promotion. They are worse than Mickey Mouse and Wrexham.
He is 24 and at this point in his career based on the last 6months £150-250k with 6months left on his deal is what Salford would be expected to pay if the boot was on the other foot. I have found Stockport and their fans constant commenting on Salford socials and this forum on Bailey and even KR’s Red yesterday embarrassing. The club has never stood in Bailey’s way of getting games, he has got a poor injury record considering his availability last season but to my knowledge the loan to Stockport was very agreeable for the benefit of the player.
As yesterday proved we are in the green shoots of a very different situation to the summer in the building and I imagine the decision will come down to the player. If he spoke to KR yesterday, potentially Nicky Butt also and feels he wants to give it a go, it will be no doubt welcomed because we are short of bodies. If he wants to go a be part of a promotion push fine - but pay the fee. I keep being told they can afford it, but this rhetoric Stockport fans are peddling of a ‘Free Odin’ type scenario needs nipping in the back side.

I agree with you shouldn't be bowing down to us or be any sort of charity. Bailey has had a good 6 months but he's no where near 200k. If he were then he'd be over 500k if he had 2 or 3 year contract. Going back him having a good 6 months I think most would say he's had a very average 18 months For me I'd say 100k would be good money for you to receive for him but I think we should be paying 5 figures. Just opinions though

How great that a club can keep their fans updated

He looked sharp in pre-season and I expected him to play some part. But maybe Wood and him didn't get on and that could change. With our injuries, we need every player we can, as long as they want to play of course.

Gone to Stockport for an undisclosed fee Oh well, at least it frees up some of our wage bill as well as adding some extra money to the transfer kitty.

Gone to Stockport for an undisclosed fee I hope we don’t regret that.

No point keeping a player who didn't want to be here and being honest he didn't offer much while he was at Salford
