I was up in Scotland and couldn't make it to the game, but it sounds like I missed a good one? Good to read that we are getting back to where we want to be, if not quite there yet. After recent form, I'll take that.

Great report as always Andy!!
2-2 was the correct scoreline, both teams had chances to nick the match. Warringtons dominance seemed to come in the last 10mins of the first half, and the last 10 of the second half. Madeley and Seddon linked up really well in the first half, and Madeley finished his chance extremely well. Warrington's first goal seemed a little soft and looked to have slipped through the keepers hands, I'll have to look at the highlights to confirm this. We seemed to keep Warringtons 2 new strikers at bay which was very pleasing, but it's a shame we couldn't say the same for Adam Morning, as he looked lively for them most of the time.
Andrews goal was well worked and we got midfield going forward and supported the attack, and was "placed" in the top corner, obviously. ;-)
A few things that bugged me last night:
Warringtons coaching staff - All throughout the game was outside their technical box, screaming at the referee constanly and "chewing" the linesmans ears off. Ok..... im sure all managers/coaches come out of the technical box, as does Phil Power, but not as frequent, nor as ill-disciplined as the Warrington "rabble".
Midfield - The goals we conceded sadly came from us losing the ball in midfield. I lost count how many times our CM's received the ball, controlled and controlled it some more. We all know at this level you don't have that much time on the ball. I'm sure collectively they will have released they made a few mistakes, and hopefully they learn and move on.
Madeley - Once again scores a goal, works his socks off, destroys the full backs for pace, and we bring him off. He looked annoyed when he came off. Why can't we take Seddon off, or Webber? The poor lad is always the fall guy and I thought it wasn't the correct choice.
All in all, things seem to be moving in the right direction again, and before last nights games, if Warrington had won all their games in hands they would of been level with Darlington, so even though the league table shown them in 18th it was never going to be an easy match.
On to Saturday's match against Burscough where we can secure 3 valuable points.

Disappointed not to take 3 points but I think we can count ourselves somewhat fortunate that we didn't lose the game. I thought Warrington were more inventive, had more pace than we did and certainly caused mote problems for us than we did them. We were guilty of contributing to both of their goals and if not for Ashley Dunn's goal line clearance, Metcalfe hitting the woodwork and a couple of other chances that looked easier to score it could have been a lot worse. Can only think of Madeleys shot that just went wide and Gaz Seddon squaring the ball instead of going for goal - both in the second half - that really caused any problems for Warrington. What is it with the messing around at the back that we insist on doing and playing suicidal balls that just invite trouble? Yet again we always seem to be outnumbered going forward with very few options available whereas the opposition it seemed to me always appeared to have extra men thus extra options. Why does Lee Neville insist on stopping when he's in full flight thus stopping any momentum we may have and how did Phil Edgehill always manage to find a yellow shirt with a succession of aimlessly flighted balls? These are issues that all need addressing! All in all a frustrating night for me which hopefully will be improved on for this coming Saturday.

I agree it was never going to be an easy match, having said that...
Warrington had 17pts and 5(15pts) games in hand before the match. Darlo had 40pts. 17+15 isnt 40, Your maths needs a little work dude :/

My apologies, I was looking at the table within the programme and it's quite up to date. I'll make sure my info is correct next time ;-)

Can only think of Madeleys shot that just went wide and Gaz Seddon squaring the ball instead of going for goal - both in the second half - that really caused any problems for Warrington There was also the cross that Warrington's keeper managed to get a touch to in the first half that meant it was only Sam himself that ended up in the back of the net and not the ball as well. there were a couple of chances in the second half that were blocked by Warrington defenders and a bounce off Seddon that was heading into the top corner but the keeper was on that side of the goal and managed to catch it. I can't blame Seddon for not scoring there as it didn't look like he knew much about the ball going to him as it missed everyone in the centre to get through to the back post. I do wish though that it would have been Seddon and not Webber at the back post when Sam's shot went just wide as I think Gaz is the kind of striker that would have been trying to get to it just to make sure it goes in.
