With Gary Bowyer instilled as manager for next season we need to sort out our facilities which let us down badly this year ! I can’t remember how many games were postponed this campaign due to a flooded/frozen pitch and I can’t pinpoint why we had such a poor pitch ? We also ended the season having to use our already poor pitch for the training facilities again I’m not sure why that happened ? I believe they have been looking at training facilities in Irlam, have the pitches in Partington let us down or have we lost the use of this training ground ? Have we heard anymore about the AJ Bell stadium or are we to continue with Moor Lane in the short term ? I think we need to be looking for potential land to build a new stadium and a new training facility as new players might not join the club because of the lack of facilities ! I’m sure Gary Neville has been looking extensively but perhaps the lack of available land in Salford is causing him a headache ! What do you think guys ?

I don’t see us ever building a new ground in Salford. We can’t even find land for a training ground, even outside Salford and the clubs home must be IN Salford.
I would go in hard for the AJ Bell and whoever can solve the Red Devils issue could come out the winner. The council have said they won’t sell if they can’t guarantee the rugby club’s safety.

Agree with Chris re the stadium, I think building one in Salford is very unlikely.
Just on the pitch issue, I'm convinced the slope doesn't help one bit. It might just be the angle distorting the view but on the live stream the far side (North stand side) looks fine but the South side at the bottom of the slope is a quagmire in wet weather. It's on a much smaller scale I know but my back garden has a bit of a slope and the rainwater pools at the bottom of it in wet weather whilst the other end is OK. Surely levelling out the slope will help, as gravity must have an effect on where excess water goes.
One thing is certain, if we have aspirations to climb the leagues then better stadium facilities are an absolute must. At the moment we're a L2 side in a non league ground.

If we are to stay at Moor Lane for a good while, then we need to sort the pitch. Not sure why we didn’t to start with...maybe it was very expensive. We should spend enough money to guarantee a level pitch in the best condition it can be. The last bit is harder, but we clearly play better on a good pitch. All teams do, but we seem to be a gear above most teams when the pitch is good. I remember doing well at Harrogate. It was plastic so it was obviously level and true. If we buy the AJ Bell, that doesn’t bode well for the pitch of the rugby lads are to play on it, unless we give them Moor Lane? Some of their fans may not like that due to the infrastructure issues, but it guarantees the club’s future.

Problem is with Moor Lane and the stadium.... they built the stadium around the pitch, obvious I know, but what I mean is, the stands also slope to match the pitch so it doesn't look silly. So if they were to level off the pitch, the stands would all look out of place.
They should of levelled the pitch as they were building the stadium, but can't see them levelling the pitch now, too much money and cost to adapt the stadium build.

Now here's a suggestion to set the cat among the pigeons. Why don't we just buy Bury's Gigg Lane ground and rename ourselves Salford & Bury United? LOL!

Don’t be kicking us out of the stadium that was originally built was us !!! 👹 Moor Lane won’t be good enough for us as to stay in super league I believe you have to have a 10,000 capacity !! In an ideal world, the City of Salford stadium would host Salford City and Salford Red Devil’s !!

If GN wants the AJ Bell, the council have already said they need a solution for the Red Devil’s.
