I'd give my real opinion, but I don't want you to shut the forum down! ? It's hard to see where we go from here? I'd have settled for an improvement on Saturday, even if we didn't get the result. But we were beaten in every area on the pitch. The improvement we need is a massive one. We have the players to do it, but I'm not sure it will be in this game? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

We haven't really got another winger really, unless you put Madeley on the right and Browne on the left?

Problem with players is mainly that we have four midfield players who all want to play through the middle and that we also had four front men who all wanted to play down the middle and regarded themselves as central strikers. I know dale johnson has now left but still we have no one who can give us that natural width and this combined with lack of pace throughout the team will continue to give us problems.

The additions of both midfielder Martyn Andrews and ex Ashton United winger Matt Chadwick (see player movement thread) should certainly freshen things up for the Lancaster game. It's been frustrating seeing the same players playing week in and week out without feeling that they are under pressure for places. Having lost quite a number of players since the start of the season it's good that we are finally replenishing the squad which should make for a healthy competition for a starting place in the team.

Cant see us getting a result at lancaster cosidering they have just beaton clitheroe five nil. Our present form is nothing less than disasterous with leaking goals and not looking like scoring at the other end. Think i would go for guthrie, edghill, linwood, lynch, neville, madeley, jarrett, dunn, moss, seddon and webber. Subs andrews , chadwick, coo ,hibbs, browne. Hope im wrong but lancaster 3 salford 1.

Lancaster fielded a strong line up while Clitheroe's was primarily made up with reserve players which would account for the score. I think that one of their best forwards - Tom Kilfin - has also just left for Kendal Town, which if true will be a stroke of good fortune for us.

Great result for us today. From the Twitter feeds, it looked as though we thoroughly deserved it as well? I'm hoping this signals the end of the sloppy football we've seen recently and it's the confidence booster we needed?
