I'm pretty certain that our first game in the competition against Mossley at Moor Lane is due to be played w/c 4th September. I'm sure the club will take on board that we are at Harrogate Town on Tuesday 5th September and will schedule the game not to coincide with that night to ensure we get a good turnout to cheer the lads on. I'm really hoping for a good run in this competition this season with a trip to either Daisy Hill or AFC Darwen to look forward to if we beat Mossley.

Looking forward to this game tomorrow night. Nice cheap prices, no parking restrictions and only the Moor Lane stand open for this one. Hoping for a win and a subsequent away trip to AFC Darwen rather than Daisy Hill who we are scheduled to meet in the next round if successful. Been quite a few years since my last visit to Darwen who are one of those teams I've always had a bit of a soft spot for. Should be an interesting game and a chance to see some of the youngsters who have already impressed when given a chance in the 1st team this season.

An entertaining game with a 1-0 win barely telling the full story as only the heroics of the Mossley keeper and a number of other near misses prevented Salford from recording an otherwise thumping victory. The only goal of the game arrived on the hour mark and from there on there was really only team in it with the visitor's producing just one noteworthy effort in each half. Some good individual performances from the Academy 92 team who fully deserved their applause at the end of the game from the 200 spectators in attendance.

According to the FA site Monday 18th Sept with a 7pm kick off but I assume Daisy Hill can choose any date and time that week so check their website for details I guess
