No big long post from me at the moment but suffice to say I'm obviously disappointed with the final outcome. There was basically very little to separate the two sides but I honestly believe that we had the better chances and if we'd had our shooting boots on then the outcome might well have been different. The lads gave everything they could and again showed their battling qualities by coming from behind. Poor penalty kicks from us which on another day might have gone the other way but I've no complaints with the format as it's the same for both sides. Fantastic support and volume levels from the Salford support today. It made me proud to be part of that and if the Halifax fans didn't hear us this time around then they've clearly got hearing difficulties! KEEP THE FAITH, WE'LL BE BACK! ..................

Proud of the players, management staff, fans, and all affiliated with the club today. It's always heartbreaking to lose on penalties, especially as both sides matched one another over 210 minutes of open play. Good luck to both clubs in next week's final; as for Salford, we come back stronger next year.

Said it before and I reiterate, had I been offered mid table at the start of the season,I would have snapped the hand off whoever offered it. Proud of what we have achieved and especially in the time we have done it. Fantastic season and buzzing going forward. #UTA

As aforementioned, another tremendous season, an entertaining climax which sadly did not go for us. Everyone connected to the club can go off for their summers rest with their heads held high and better for this seasons experiences.

Salford have always been one of the nicer clubs we have met after being relegated. Always a horrible way to lose after two hard fought draws that could have gone either way.
Good luck for next season.

Now I'm home, I'm not too disappointed at all. How can I be after such a fantastic season. At the end of extra time, we bought a lottery ticket and our ticket didn't get pulled out today. But it's been a cracking season.
It will be sad to see some of these players leave. I think we can safely say they will always be welcome at Moor Lane. I envy other clubs who are going to pick these players up.
Is it nearly August yet?

Good luck for next season. All the very best to you. A close game today, and on Wednesday. A great advert for non league. Just shows what a tough league this is.

Was impressed by your following today, more than I had expected. Both sets of fans were class today and I was proud to be part of our South Stand that clearly had an effect on the game. You sung well throughout and at full time I came over to applaud you for your efforts. Good luck next season, fingers crossed you won't be seeing us.

Great atmosphere and as you say, class from both sets of fans. Anyone pondering watching non league should watch that game and they'll understand why we follow it week in, week out. All the best and good luck next week.
