Agreed mate.. the goal, his handling and the goal kicks going into touch every other time was definitely out of character. However with how good he's been this year I guess an off game was always due. If he kept it up all season then he'd be playing in the football league come September. Surely this applies to every player who has a poor game last night then?!? For me no matter how good most of our players have been this year, they haven't come close to the performances Lynch and Burton have put in. Consistently been candidates for man of the match.

Nottingham, Priestley, Phenix, Hulme? Really pal?? We're thing in the NATIONAL NORTH in our first ever season and at times have looked better than any other team I have seen us play against. As I've said in other posts, the actual balance to our team is brilliant and we don't have one stand out 'star player' like a Rowe or Lloyd that other clubs rely on and I think that comes down to the managers team ethos.

No I agree our squad has the perfect balance. Hulme, Phenix, Priestley and Notts have all been class but the point I'm making is I think without Lynch and Burton we could be 10+ points worse off than we are right now.

Its no coincidance that when Burton was suspended and injured we went on a terrible run culminating in the 4-2 defeat away to halifax. The whole squad has performed extrememly well this season and are a credit to the managers. But Scott is defo Salfords loyd/Rowe and maybe doesnt get the plaudits from outside the club because he aint a striker. Notts aswell been one of the most consistent players all season a Rolls Royce of a player. The balance and spirit with in the squad like thats been said already is very very good you can see how asstute the lads are in their planning and have always been proactive with their game time management cant wait for em to get the squad working together fulltime.

Agree with most of the above but nobody's given credit for the tactical switch, admittedly right near the end, to push Notts into the centre forward position. Result? Equaliser. Like the switch on Saturday. Bring Haughton on to run rings round the defence, and Richie Allen to score the penalty. Working that kind of magic from the touchline is like having 13 players. Or have I just got rose-coloured glasses?

No your right, Haughton was brilliant on Saturday and changed things for us. Again the decision for Nottingham to go upfront proved the right one as well. I've said this before, Bernard and Jonno are two of the best managers around and we are lucky to say we have both of them.

Thats what i was saying about game time management 👍 being pro-activ not afraid to make the changes and makes a refreshing change managers not being drilled and stubborn on how the team is set up very fluid 😎😎 #UTA #COYA

agree with pretty much all that's been said so far and very relieved to get what wasn't really deserved, a point, but that could be crucial at the end of the season That said I thought that was probably the worst game of football I've seen in a while both sides lacking quality and we seemed to be completely lacking in ideas and we have to improve massively to maintain our push for the play offs, a couple more performances like that on could scupper our chances. Lots of huffing and puffing and big hoof upfield from us but no finesse. Great support from the Chorley fans though, a credit to their club. The performance of the team was reflected in our fans support, only heard our fans in the Moor Lane seats a couple of times with hardly a peep from the "home" stand unless it was full of Chorley fans? On to Saturday now and hopefully a change in our tactics. Only heard us a couple of times, can barely speak today!! Thought myself and Andy did well keeping it going! Performance was awful, highlight for me was the new floodlighting and the 2 great girls before the game. Thought it was a shame of a game but as the away fans told me on the way out, we got a point we didn't deserve. Onwards and upwards. COYA Hardly a peep from the West stand? Admittedly there was precious little to enthuse about but the few of us actually prepared to back our team vocally did reasonably well to counter the large away following stood directly next to us. Somewhat disappointing then to be out sung in our own end but hardly surprising with a lot of supporters electing to stand in the Moor Lane stand. What's happened to all our vocal fans being under one roof which is what we've all wanted to happen for a long time?

On the plus side in the last two games it's obvious that we haven't been at the top of our form but equally so has there been anything about two of our main promotion challengers that we really need to worry about should we come across them in the play-offs ? If there is then I think I've missed it. At the end of the day I'm just happy if we stick to the basics and get them right. Do that and we'll be more than alright.
