Salford back on the road and back on the bike. After Telford had it the woodwork twice in the first 15 minutes.Salford then proceeded to take charge and we scored two good goals through Simon Grand and James Poole to put us two up going in at the break. The second half started and for the first 10 minutes Telford put us under preassure but could not find the net we then got into are stride and played on the break. With a bit more quality with our finishing we could of had a couple more goals. Forget formations we had players today playing to their ability.Their is room for improvement but I think we are on our way back.We also gave new boy Jack Deaman from Gloucester City is debut. All in all a good away day for the traveling army.

Couldn't get there today but excited that our boys are back. Got the whole game commentary on Mixir. Background crowd singing - you would think we were the home team. They always win when I don't go. Better if I stick to the commentary!

Avast improvement all round today with every player looking totally motivated and really up for the game. Yes Telford probably enjoyed a good early spell where they came very close on a couple of occasions but on the overall balance of play we fully deserved our victory which could and probably should have been by a much bigger margin. Overall defensively we looked much tighter with players covering each other which meant we didn't look as exposed as we have been in recent weeks and keeper Jay Lynch was back at his very best with a number of particularly impressive stops. Much more stronger and competitive in midfield which orchestrated a number of quick breaks - particularly in the second half where we exploited our one man advantage following the dismissal of one of their defenders. Thought tactically we were far more astute and played to our strengths with the forwards looking to combine well down the flanks with perhaps the only disappointment being that we didn't capitalise enough on our territorial advantage after the break by converting a number of good opportunities into more goals.
Other than that a hugely enjoyable afternoon all round!

Let's hope this is the start of a run, all the way up to Christmas and beyond. Many of the teams above us haven't had a rough patch yet.

great win still unsure what Billy's done to be dropped the last 2 games. Sometimes it's about finding partnerships and in fairness during the winnless streak the defence was shaky At Wanderers one of the best partnerships was Taggert & Fairclough. You would never put them on your team sheet individually but together they complemented each other so well. Each other's strengths made up for the other weakness. With Grand being captain then I suspect Billy was the one to swap out to find a formula to give is a clean sheet (next Sat will be a bigger test though). Billy is one of my favourite players by the way so no slight on his ability
