Like I've mentioned somewhere on here already, I have had a chat with Will who does the programme, and he is keen to help promote away travel through existing club resources (which would include the programme as well as official social media outlets). However, as we all seem to agree on here - as does Andy G, if you read his post - confirmed details for travel need to be available weeks in advance.
I think we're in danger here of slipping back into old arguments. I understand that we're not quite filling coaches from regulars, though we've been getting enough away support this season, and therefore need to appeal to other aspects for supporters, which mainly seems to be the opportunity to drink. However, we've got to consider all aspects, such as attracting families onto coach travel. If we accommodate on set of supporters but alienate another, are we not back to square one? I've no objections to going a little earlier so people can have a drink, nor have I anything against staying for one for the road or people having a few tins on the coach, but if we turn it into a Jolly Boys' Outing style all day piss-up, then families and groups who aren't interested in that will just go in their cars, which will work out cheaper anyway if enough are travelling together.
Also, before we start putting the cart before the horse again, maybe we should all try and get a couple of successful coach journeys to further places under our belt before we start tweaking things to suit different needs, which may mean a few of us having to make concessions here and there. For example, I can see that people are still calling for a Prestwich pick up, but until we have enough people travelling regularly, then we might need to have a few trips with just one pick up point. If that is to be the case, then I think the ground is the fairest location. Once we've got things up and running, perhaps then and only then can we add points in Prestwich and Swinton.

It's one of the best ways to promote a football forum website. One of the main Bolton forums had a massive surge in users following free advertisement at the European games - the flag was passed around different forum users to ensure it appeared at every match but it certainly got the word out

If darlo are in their new ground does this coach travel guarantee a match ticket? Strictly speaking one would have to say no as it would be guaranteed that if it was to be Darlo's first ever game at their new ground the match would certainly be made an all ticket affair with our allocation - whatever that might be - going on sale to Salford season ticket holders first.
I've raised this issue as well as to what the chances are of them having their ground ready in time to host us on 3rd December on their fans forum ...... www.darlofc.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=31976

We intend putting a notice up inside the clubhouse tomorrow - Saturday 5th November - inviting people to put their names down if they are DEFINITELY wanting to travel by coach to Darlington on Saturday 3rd December.
19 seater = £17.50 each ++ 29 seater = £14.50 each ++ More than 29 = TBA
Payment will need to be made by Saturday 19th November at the home game v Worcester City.
We don't of course yet know whether the game against Darlington will be their first at their new ground and as to what our ticket allocation might be but it's better we know sooner than later as to how many supporters will want to go by coach so that we can start planning accordingly.
The expected time of departure has been provisionally set for 10:00 am although this may yet change depending on whether the game is played at Darlington's new ground or their present base at Bishop Auckland.

Im guessing if all ticket that season ticket holders will get priority.

If we get at least 200 tickets I would think that should be sufficient to cover both season and non season ticket holders intending to go.
