What an up and down season ! Unbeaten for 9 games then no win for 5 games ? Well Salford fans it could be worse, we could be struggling at the foot of the table, we've dropped 13 points out of 15 yet we're only 3 points off the top 5 ! The next 6 games are crucial, we have 4 home and 2 away against teams below us apart from Harrogate ! I'm hoping we can pick up at least 14 points which could get us back in the play off positions ! Keep up the support Ammies fans we will turn this around, maybe we will stay unbeaten for the next six games ! ! !

With our squad they are all very winnable, but i'd be delighted with a points tally of anything in double figures

Looking forward to getting back to the Lane after our visits to Stockport. Tough game ahead, but I think the news coming from the club and Scholes supportive words about our Management team will lift the players
3-1 win, setting us for a mini run of 6 undefeated leading into the Darlington away match

Totally 100% behind the management and the team. When the going gets rough this is the time that we as supporters need to stand up and be counted. No one ever said it was going to be easy and while either automatic promotion or a play off place at the very least remains the ultimate ambition I'd quite happily settle for a season of consolidation in this division as we get used to this level of football. The impressive development of our ground would more than compensate for not achieving a third successive promotion as far as I'm concerned. Let's get the ground up to standard, the infrastructure in place and then mount a concerted effort at promotion with all the right foundations in place.

Great to read Scholes's comments that they are still firmly behind the managers and that they expected a time like this. We all did, but we also know that club owners can get itchy feet when things aren't going well.
Actually, we are still very much in touch with the top of the table, so as slumps go, it's a mini one. I think this is now a confidence thing. Good support and a bit of luck will see us win today, and as said above, I don't see why we can't get a run going up to Christmas. The last game was much improved, but not perfect. I think the lads will come out today and make a statement.

We in fact picked up 11 out of 18 which was better than the 3 out of 21 ! I'm guessing that most Salford fans at the start of the season would have been happy for top half but I think we can push for the play off places if we can continue to pick up points and not have any long winless streaks like before !

Never write this squad off. Solid result at Darlington on Saturday. What a return game that's going to be, last game of the season. Especially if we've both got something riding on it.

I definitely would be happy with a top ten finish.
Whether we can push for the playoffs might depend on what happens with the loan players. It's no coincidence that we stopped shipping goals as soon as Deaman and Brough were introduced to the starting line up. Since Deaman departed, we've conceded four in two games. Brough's loan is due up soon, I believe, as is Haughton's, who has provided the creative spark we had hitherto lacked.
If these loans are not extended or these players replaced with ones of equal quality, there is a fair chance that we will stutter again.

I'm disappointed that we lost Deaman. I think he was one of the players here with a potential perm move if he did well. Did I read the reason he went back was about money or did I just imagine that?
We stopped conceding as soon as he joined us and I think we've lost a cracking player there. But we'll progress. The club is bigger than any player. I firmly believe we've had our bad patch and we can start making inroads towards the playoff positions.
But this is a tough, tough league. A playoff position at the end of the season would be amazing. I'd always back us in a playoff game, so the chance of promotion would be real. But if we don't make it, I'd still be happy with the club's progress and the direction the gaffers are taking us in.
