It seems now that not only are we are the team that everyone wants to beat but we're fast becoming the team that everyone also wants to see. On a filthy Tuesday night in Chorley there were 2022 in attendance - their best of the season and more than double that of their previous four homes games - which impressively bettered their opening day of the season gate against FC United! Also interesting to see that Kidderminster's "fantastic support" last night against Tamworth was 700 down on the 2000 plus that were there for our visit on Saturday. I would have thought the weather would have been ideally suited for their game plan as well as providing some spectacular diving opportunities!

Judging by recent away attendances we're still the team that everyone wants to see! At Brackley Town last Saturday the attendance was 738 - their highest of the season - 1301 at Tamworth the week before - again their highest of the season and we contributed to the highest home gates at both FC United of Manchester and Gloucester City in the previous two away games before that! Perhaps it's about time that we started getting a share of the home gate due to the increased financial contribution we make to our opponents coffers week in and week out! FC United and Stockport County eat your hearts out!

It was 113 fans 4/5 years ago, it went up to 350 3 seasons ago and 650 last year ! It is currently running at over 1300 fans and that's with a reduced capacity ! Next season who knows, possibly over 2,000 ! As Tangerinedream says everyone wants to come to see the Salford and long may it continue! "You've only come to see the Salford come to see the Salford, you've only come to see the Salford "

Pretty sure I've played in front of about 20 if any of you have been around long enough to remember Alan Lord's rabble from the mid 90's!😂😂 £10 win bonuses were all we got back then which meant wages of about £60 a season if you were lucky.☺ Love seeing the crowds flocking to Moor Lane and the positive vibes around the place.
Remember saying to my dad a few years ago that it's criminal Salford had a team so far down the non-league structure. Aren't we (by quite a way) the biggest city in England not to have a professional league football team?

The chance to sit if they want. To get a burger and not queue for half the game. I can't wait for the new clubhouse to be built. That's going to be amazing.

As far as I am aware, Salford is the second largest City in England never to have had a football league side, the first being Wakefield. As you say, it is criminal but hopefully soon this will change! :-)

Cracking quiz question that, which I reckon 99.99% of the population would never guess.

I genuinely thought the people of Salford always saw United as their own, something to do with finishing at the docks on Saturday lunch and going straight to Old Trafford, I know strictly speaking they're not a Salford club and now they're pretty much a world club but historically speaking I always thought of Salford as being the home of United's hardcore support.

I would say that traditionally, there are more Man U fans west of Manchester than east. East being mainly Man City. But that's just a guestimation. I'm from Salford and followed Bolton, not Man U. So I think there is plenty of support in Salford for Man U, but far from being exclusively Man U. I think Man Us core support comes from London and Ireland. 😀I got a flight from Manchester after a game once and the terminal was rammed with Irish fans waiting for their flights back home.
