We don't know what goes on behind closed doors do we? Let's say that they were offered a full time contract. They would have to think carefully, because if you get sacked at this level, there's no big payoff.
Either way, I doubt that the owners are harbouring any concerns about the management team.

We have brought quality Inn but gaz was and is on another level fitness wise he's a machine. The gaffers will sort it defo but I'm sure they planned for gaz in the team come August it's a massive shock I'd imagine all round and no offence to rammy but gaz should be at a higher level.

Andy, Are you saying he's gone back to Ramsbottam? Rumours of him going to Oz? Murray United, Chris Lynch's new Club don't seem to be much of an outfit. Surely he's not going there. Gutted anyway. Our engine is now running on 3 cylinders unless the new boys have the same energy level. Onwards and upwards.

Our engine is now running on 3 cylinders unless the new boys have the same energy level. Onwards and upwards. The new lads coming Inn especially Brad are very good pal I've heard gaz was going to OZ in the new year or wanted too I'm sure given a few months in this league he may of stayed on till the summer I only said rammy as it's a team fairly local to him that he knows very well. Maybe the club wants everybody on a contract going into the season and with gaz being honest and saying he wants to go to Oz couldn't commit to a contract but for me the lad deserved to be signed on till he wanted to go there are people who know a lot more about this situation than me I just hope that somebody from the club can get round a table and see if we can get him back somehow and show a wee bit of common dog I know football is ruthless off the field I just hope as a club we can buck the trend everybody who watched gaz last season knows he never left anything behind and was a massive part of the dressing room. And for any of the new lads who may read this post it isn't a slight on any of the new lads you will all be welcomed with open arms and I look forward to watching you all but Gstop and Burton together 48

If the issue was that he couldn't commit to a full season, I support the club in going elsewhere. If we tried to recruit a replacement in January, and the best players were settled elsewhere, that could torpedo our season. Best to have a settled squad, who by Christmas, will hopefully be firing well before the new year and will carry that through to the end of the season. You can't bring sentiment into this.

By that token you wouldn't want a Lewis Hardcastle coming in for 3 months again?

Loans are different. Loan players are brought in to fill a gap. When we have injuries or we can't fill a position. But if the gaffers can get a comparable player, who can commit to a full season, they should do that. I'm a big fan of him...check other threads. But I think the club are right to sign a player who can commit, if they can.

So it's a case of cheers for your efforts for the last 2 promotions C YA !! I for one as a fan do have sentiment towards players who cared and didn't think of themselves it's why I love non-league which we still are at the mo I get the club wanting to secure players on contracts Gstop deserved a little more for me I'm gutted at least we could of give him a good send off #onceanammie

Loan players aren't for that at all! If a better player becomes available wether it be for 1 month or a season surely any club should take to make them better which is what happened with Lewis.
Barnes and Walker are both proven players, can they do what Gary can do better? I doubt that very much as I didn't see a player in the last 2 seasons in the leagues AND FA Cup do what he could do!
