He will do well there. Thought he was the difference in the away win towards the end of the season where they missed some one of his elk

Anyone know who the trialists are? The lad who scored at Irlam, what I saw of him, played like a young Danny Webber. Came on last few minutes against H&R and looked like scoring.

The lad scoring at Irlam was Rio and apparently, he's from Fleetwood?

We still need a target man up front. Haven't seen us win anything in the air, when in the box.

No, but this is a different league. Defences are going to be tougher, and maybe even bigger. We scraped a few wins last season that we should have coasted, if we had taken the chances we created.
It's not as simple as saying we didn't have one last season, so we don't need one now. I've seen 3 friendlies (I take the point that's all they are) and we've won very little in the air at set pieces in any of them.

I've seen 3 friendlies (I take the point that's all they are) and we've won very little in the air at set pieces in any of them. But having a 'target man' as you called it, doesn't promise goals. Having a bigger centre forward in the box for set pieces doesn't mean we'll score more either. By the looks of things we are going to have a very tall back 4 who I presume will all be involved in set pieces. For me what we need is guile and creativity to be creating more chances. We won 4-0, 3-0 and 4-1 and I believe scored double figures in a 'behind closed doors' friendly against a Manchester league side. The only games where we didn't create lots of chances was against a professional team from league two and a team who won our equivalent who are now in the Conference South, let's have it right they created next to nowt either on a red hot day! We had no Poole or Hulme up front who were mainstays of our strike force last season. For me I think the games we have had and have coming up are actually the right ones, games were we might only get a chance or two created rather than playing local teams who in all fairness we should be beating 4s and 5s.

No. It doesn't promise goals, but it's just another tool in the armoury. We just can't get on the end of a set piece and I think if we could, we can potentially score more. But there's no guarantees.
This league is going to be tough, that's for sure. I'd just like to have everything covered.

Him and Phenix will link up nicely. Who's going to dip out of the midfield to let Wellens play?
