Trite but true, this game is another must win. Hopefully, the boys can build on a solid performance (with a touch of class) at Halesowen and give themselves every chance of securing the three points.
Elsewhere in the league, 4th plays 5th and 6th plays 7th, so at least two of the sides in contention with us will be dropping points tomorrow, which makes getting the win against Sutton all the more vital.

Big chance for us to cement (almost) our playoff chances.

Another cup final for lads today hope Chris lynch isnt suffering any after a couple of crunching tackles tuesday. A fully fit squad then we hope. Clean sheet and a couple for us!

First off id like to thank Sutton's band for keeping me awake the first, if it wasn't for them I'd of fell to sleep, awful half
Much better second half, JJ was causing all sorts of problems for them and was unlucky not to score
Great finish from Poole on his right foot, massive plus to have him back fit and firing
Don't remember them offering much.
Great 3 points

Ugly win (apart from the goal from Poole of course) but a win and massive three points
Good to see another clean sheet which with the attacking players we have is going to be key in the final weeks and hopefully the play offs

Sutton are a good team took some massive points against Blyth and co not many shabby teams in this division Jonno amd bern have got some headaches with a fully fit squad. JJ looked sharp today was unlucky with his run 2nd half pulling his shot wide. How good was the penalty save aswell one handed class.

I thought they looked worthy of their win today. Solid again, like at Halesowen, but also more of a threat going forward, even if Sutton did carve out a couple of decent chances. Webber's header was excellent and Poole's goal nothing short of phenomenal. We need to have him on the pitch as much as possible between now and the end of the season. Well done, lads, keep it up.
Another positive note: with the four teams directly behind us having to play each other this afternoon, we now hold a five point cushion above Workington and seven points ahead of Ashton and Stour. With Ashton playing Stour on Monday, it's not even as though they can all overtake us by winning their games in hand. We need to keep doing what we're doing (as of the last two games) and put the pressure on those behind us to win their games. If we carry on putting points in the board while the others have to play catch up, then there is no reason why we cannot secure one of the home games in the play offs.

Agreed, though I'd have caught that penalty with one hand in my day

Thoughts on the penalty incident? From where I was, it wasn't for me I'm not so sure either. Their goalie was really pissed off with Richie, so obviously he didn't!

Good to be at the game today.Another three points, against a team that has beat Darlo twice,so no mugs.I think most will agree we can play a better, but a win at this stage is all that matters. As I have said before on the forum,I have always thought we would make the play offs, and that is still the case.

Great interview! Mozzer your song got a mention "EVERYWHERE WE GO WE ALWAYS TAKE THE WEBBER TAKE THE WEBBER WITH US" I love it when a famous person ratifies my genius Actually, I enjoyed listening to Danny here. His interview is so level headed, which is just what we need at the moment at the pressure end of the season. What he said about keeping it tight at the back and getting clean sheets, then pushing on for goals is definitely the way forward at this time, and we've proved over the last two games that we are more than capable of executing such a plan. The open, gun-slinger games like Workington and Ashton are always fun, but we can't always rely on outscoring the opposition in high-scoring games (look what happened in the Darlo games).
