For an ex league team footifan that is a poor average you have then. I feel sorry for you.... no ground to call home as you dont own your own ground.

Mike " You must have come in a taxi " chant Irony is obviously lost on you. That is funny coming from a team that limited Darlo to 250 tickets ( which did not go on general sale but to members only ) Plus at least 50 exiles & Darlo fans that drove down that bought from your allocation. Your gate of 870 or so today would have been much greater if you had not made it all ticket. We didn't make it all ticket. The Football Association did following the events of last season.
Interesting how many SC fans come to Bishop Auckland... Mildly interesting. Quality over quantity every time! Darlo average nearly 1100 playing in a different town Rubbish! You don't even average that at home never mind as an away following. Apart from Blyth most other teams visiting fans actually could fit into a taxi or at least a mini bus .... That of course does includes Salford City It must really grate that your in a league with all these 'village' teams with zero or next to no away fans.

Just wait until we move back to Darlo, hopefully next season. Playing at this level in a different town, an average of 1100 is not bad realistically. The club has been through years of turmoil, if we rise up the leagues & certainly with a move back into Darlo ...The levels will increase I would think to around at a 2,000 average.... even in Conference North which a lot of clubs would envy at that level. It will be interesting to see how many fans remain of your massive fan base when your sugar daddies get bored & disappear.

If it had been, surely segregation would have been the demanded NOT a small allocation. 2) Your qualities shone through today ooops 3) I was referring to our home average.... which is 1,092 ... nearly 1,100 in any ones book ... Foolish boy 4) Actually most Darlo fans have enjoyed the trip through the lower leagues, it is just the few pitchfork waving idiots like yourself that have tarnished it. Cheerio, have fun

But you did set the limit at 250 for Darlo. Even if you had sent only 750 tickets north they would have all sold. Darlo average nearly 1100 playing in a different town Rubbish! You don't even average that at home never mind as an away following. Bishop Auckland is a different town. It is not Darlo. The Evostik site say we are averaging 1092 gate at Heritage Park, Bishop Auckland. That is very nearly 1100. All these defeats must have addled your brain cell!

1 - Absolutely positive it was the Football Association. Please try and keep up!
2 - I wasn't aware that your original post was referring to today's game. Silly me!
3 - Please try to make yourself clear in the first instance. This will avoid any confusion!
4 - We've tarnished it? Have you conveniently forgotten your fans exploits at Scarborough, Droylsden and our place last season as well as Blyth this season to name a few. I thought so!

1 - Absolutely positive it was the Football Association. Please try and keep up! . ..Rather an odd decision, It cost your club a lot of money ( Oh of course you don't need it ) 870 or so today, 1300 last season. Your 480 or so hardy souls would have been well outnumbered again 2 - I wasn't aware that your original post was referring to today's game. Silly me! I think you need to keep up , we have been playing in a different town for several seasons Yes you are silly 3 - Please try to make yourself clear in the first instance. This will avoid any confusion! It seems you are easily confused... read whats in front of you rather than what you want to read 4 - We've tarnished it? Have you conveniently forgotten your fans exploits at Scarborough, Droylsden and our place last season as well as Blyth this season to name a few. I thought so! Sadly these are not fans & there is no excuse for that kind of behavior... Do not tarnish the 99% of our followers with the same brush, we do not want them around either, they are slowly being weeded out. The pitch fork behavior I referred to was small minds that get bitter in defeat.
I wish you well ... Cheerio popping out for a few beers to celebrate a fine comeback win... YOU ?

I wish you well ... Cheerio popping out for a few beers to celebrate a fine comeback win... YOU ?Cheers mate. See you up at your place in March. I was going to go out to town tonight but don't feel inclined to do so anymore following our second half collapse! Drowning my sorrows at home listening to David Bowie, Lou Reed and Patti Smith.

But it can only be used for sport and we have a lease on it but im sure we are more than capable of buying the ground outright if needed. And it is our home having never been turfed out for not paying the bills Oops just saying though and for an ex league fulltime club an average if 1000 is poor im sorry but look at stockport county, tranmere, hereford all well over 3000 and taking hereford out of it in areas where there is massive prem clubs on the doorstep ie in same city/town. Or are you gonna say darlington has same with newcastle and sunderland mmm dont think so And hartlepool seem to attract decent numbers considerably more than 1000. And im not having this excuse that once we get into conferance we will get this and that if you support your team it shouldnt make a blind bit of notice what division you are inn again look at teams already mentioned!! And to compare to ourselves we have increased our fan base over last 18mths to average more per game than at anytime in our history so although lower than yours we havent seen a decrease we our growing season on season operating with in our means yes we have wealthy owners but the team and club has generated its own wealth with performances on the pitch.these funds will be used on ground improvements to increase capacity and facilities.

I feel that I should point out a minor contradiction in this line of argument from the perspective of a Salford fan before a Darlo fan points out the exact same thing. You say that you're not buying into any claim that Darlo will attract more fans as they progress up the leagues, but then immediately point out that this is exactly what Salford have done. I agree that it shouldn't make a blind bit of difference what league your team is in; however, that clearly isn't the case with the vast number of our current fan base. I can only point to a minority who watched us in the Counties, and even when we went up to the Evo-Stik the crowds didn't increase by too many. Frankly, it took the publicity surrounding the Co92 takeover to get our crowds over 200 and the television exposure late last year before the really big crowds came. We also have a lot of 'tourists' and 'day trippers' whether people want to hear this or not, so perhaps we shouldn't be casting aspersions about other clubs' fan bases. A number of our newer fans will not be here if we start to go back the other way, of that I can assure you.

A number of our newer fans will not be here if we start to go back the other way, of that I can assure you. You havent got the gist of my comments Mozzer where have their fans gone!! From their league days when other clubs have kept their fan base and to assume you are going to double your average when you go up we have grown our fan base as we go up we have NEVER!!! averaged anywhere near what we are at the present we havent lost vast numbers of fans like they did where did they go. And im sorry but this argument about new fans old fans is getting laboured so unless you followed the team in the counties you will dissapear at the first sign of trouble tell that to the family who travel home and away from the midlands who never knew the club existed till the CO92 took over who all have a Salford shirt say it to my lads mate and his dad who have given up their season ticket at utd because they enjoy salford win loose or draw. We need to grow to move up the leagues and ill say it again Darlington were once a league club whose fans left them when they got into trouble simple as that and when another teams fan comments on our "small club" "small crowd" i will defend it with a balanced argument and im sure darlingtons fans are more than capable to fight their own corner.
