She hates football, but in fairness I have come to the conclusion that I do! Ammies have changed that for me!!! Non-league football is totally different from the likes of say the Premiersh*te which I dislike intensely. There is more passion and pride at our level and certainly less histrionics and cheating - unless of course you don't count Stourbridge. I've not watched Match of the Day for years now - don't have Sky and never will - and as for England. Don't get me started!
myself and maddenmcr had a conversation last night on how much we're loving this level of football, we're not knew to it as we've watched Ramsbottom and Atherton Collieries sparingly in the past. £75 for our season tickets in November is the best money I have spent at football in a long time, love the atmosphere, love being able to sup at the side of the pitch without some orange warrior dictating what i do. I also haven't watched match of the day for a long time and rarely do I watch live football on tv now, my fix is at moor lane on saturday and tuesday nights. i'll never stop supporting the wanderers, but I can't jusify the money anymore. i'd hate to know what I've spent over the years anyway, roll on Ilkeston away :-)

I said to a lad the other week, you coming watching Salford SATURDAY? He said no I've no interest in SUNDAY league, those who've never been just don't understand. Gave up my United season ticket years ago and never looked back, love it.

yeah most of us do go behind the goal . any covered terrace along the touch line or is there just a seated stand ? £7 that's great as well . I think you find if we are losing especially there will be a few ilson fans who will stay in there during the second half.
both coaches are starting off at 10am but we are stopping off in Stalybridge for a while . Us real ale drinkers love the railway station bar , I am a pale ale drinker . the rest of the fans go to the sports pub down the road. But we are normally at the ground in time for another before kick off.
will be great to get to know some of you guys , this is one of the things I love about non league football ...............stuff ya premier crap . over rated and well over paid players.
but first it would be great to have a chat to any of you guys this Saturday at Ilkeston. some of us of stay in the main terrace opposite the car park end all the game with our banner " we are the ilson fc "

And a covered area opposite ( the shed ) but open behind goals. We have a few flags TD brings his big orange salford flag and ive got a Broughton flag we put em up together we should be in bar saturday for around 13:45 ish

Hi Ilkeston fc fan here just say looking to seeing you guys down at the NMG need week . You will get a warm welcome from us ilson fans . Don't forget guys it's only £6 to get in so more of an incentive to come down Ilkeston. . If you like a little drink the main place to go is the market place but the only trouble with our ground it's a good 20 min walk to the ground . For real ales the best places to go are ...The Three Horse shoes , The Spanish Bar and the The Burnt Pig . Again it's a good 20 mins walk but there's plenty of taxi's on the market place . If you want any more info guys just reply .
