As the head of the thread says really.. 'Apparently', a player by the name of Anthony Bell played in 6 league games this season for Darlo, in 4 of these they took all 3 points. I would assume all points gained whilst the player played would be deducted!? There has been a precedent set in the past and I'm sure more than once. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/a/altrincham/4927718.stm

Massive story this i heard about it on twitter last night the assumption was he had only played in the county cup but as stated above contributed in helping Darlington secure 12 pts in the league as the club did not gain international clearance for the player who was registered in Wales. Im confident that we will gain automatic prommotion with or without a points deduction to Darlo. But will obviously relieve some pressure on our lads.

Interesting. If it's definite, then there has to be some punishment.

I am Salford City Fan, I am also a fan of None League Football, I have been to every away match so far, and people have not laugh at us.

It stems from Darlo's behaviour last season it was proper bog rat tackle if it was anyone else with in the non-league pyramid i would feel sorry for em but last season at moorlane was a throw back to the 80's and it was more than 5 or 10 lads being bolshy 50+ threatening women and children so it aint a tiny minority. Ive also been to every away game and apart from colwyn bay with the little turnips behind goal everyone has been awesome banter especially band down sutton. Like i said anyone else!!

I dont hate any team, but as broughton said, Darlo have this big club mentality and based on last season attitude at Moor Lane, i have no sympathy for them.
Anyone else i would feel sorry for the club if it was a genuine mistake.

You don't honestly think they did it on purpose do you? The problem as I understand it is because they signed the player from Doncaster Rovers, they thought coming from there he didn't need international clearance...However Doncaster had him from Cardiff on work experience and they say they did not need clearance for that...Darlington will pay the heavy price, similar to Marine a few years ago As for the big club mentality. In this league and the two leages prior to this season, given that for the last 3 seasons they have averaged over 1000 fans despite playing 12 miles out of Darlington. They are a big club in relative terms.

Mike.... youre correct in what youre saying in some respect. Yes they have big crowds because theyre an ex league team, so yes big club, however quite a few fans think theyre too big for this league.
No.... theyre not a big team, you have to earn respect, not just thinking youre better than everyone else because of previous stature.
Newcastle get big crowds... are they a big team? Orher than crowds, are the likes of Darlington and Newcastle big teams?

Ive never said they did it on purpose, i dont any club are silly enough to try their luck at doing something like that.
Do you participate on the npl group on facebook often? People who do will understand that there is a selection of fans that think theyre bigger and better than everyone else.
Ive never seen a salford fan go on there giving it the big one about Salford.
Darlington are one of our rivals so of course when something like a points deduction is talked about, it brings a smile to my face.
Do I need to justify my opinion any further? Haha

No.... theyre not a big team, you have to earn respect, not just thinking youre better than everyone else because of previous stature. Newcastle get big crowds... are they a big team? Orher than crowds, are the likes of Darlington and Newcastle big teams? I did say in relervant terms.... Very few (If any) Darlo fans think they are better than anyone else in this league..Indeed if you were to ask, most would tell you that the league will be won by Salford City or Blyth Spartans..I can't think of a single Darlo fan who thinks we will win this league this year. Darlington FC have a priority to get back into Darlington this year, playoffs would be nice mind. How do you judge if a club are a big team or not?...Newcastle I would say ARE a big team, They are larger than most in the premiership in crowd size, financial turnover and in history..How would you judge them As for Darlington. Again at this level I would say they are a big club..We will have the best attendances at home (Not bragging. It's a fact). We will also attract bigger attendances at most (not all) other grounds in our league because of our exiled fans and the willingness of our home fans to travel. We have earned respect from nearly all the clubs we have played..I have always enjoyed good banter with opposition fans. Because of the size of our fanbase we have more than our fair share of idiots, but most clubs have these..I have seen plenty of opposition idiots both at our ground and at away games...And even read the trolling on ours and other websites, But despite these idiots I still have respect for the clubs...
