We have announced Elliott Watt, a 22 year old midfielder from Bradford City. Hopefully he provides some power to our engine room. I'm here all week :-) Another young player who seems to be well regarded by the supporters of former club Bradford City who appear to be somewhat disgruntled that he's gone to a League 2 club citing money as being the only reason! Perhaps the fact that we've finished above them in all of our three seasons in the EFL may have something to do with it!
I know I chuckled at that myself. They seem to have a massive superiority complex based on them having big crowds and a "name" manager.

I think this is a good signing, not sure what the compensation will look like but I think he will do well alongside Watson. Looking at his numbers over the last few years I think he will be similar to Ste Kelly, recycling the ball and working box to box.

He sounds good, there's loads of what I presume are St Mirren and Hibs fans on Twitter really singing his praises. Bodes well and adds competition in midfield which is great.

Posting from lovely Valencia. I should go away more if we keep signing good players whilst I'm away.

( I'M posting from rainy and grey Salford. AND, Easyjet have just notified us that our holiday to Jersey has been scrapped due to flight cancellations ) Ain't no justice!

At work they think I get 10 weeks holiday a year. I just cram a lot into them. 😁😎 shocking about these flight cancellations, all because the airlines thought they were clever laying people off. I’m glad we are on a cruise and sailed from Southampton.

Looks like Jordan Turnbull has declined a new contract and has left the club.

Not surprised if true, it's nearly a week since his contract will have expired. Good luck to him.

Looks like Jordan Turnbull has declined a new contract and has left the club. Not seen anything either way but if true it’s a big loss in my opinion. L2 team of the year CB, he will get offers in L1/2.

Well with only 3 weeks until the start of the season I'm getting a bit worried at the lack of incoming players. Our squad is very thin and lacking even basic choices in some areas such as central defence and wide midfield, never mind a lack of cover right across the board in all areas. Unless we see a sudden influx of out of contract players in the next week or so I think we're looking at a load of kids coming in on loan.
I wonder if our constant manager churn is having an impact on players' willingness to join us? Or maybe the purse strings have been tightened? Whatever the reason our squad looks a long way off promotion material as it stands.

Whatever the reason our squad looks a long way off promotion material as it stands. Agree on the lack of depth in wide areas and centre back. Unfortunately people in this thread saw it coming - and what makes it worse is how much quality from the National League , L2 and L1 was available this summer compounds the problem. Luke Molyneux, Callum O’Dowda (long shot), Davis Keillor Dunn are a few who could’ve been got on free’s. I think the Elliot Watt and Mallon deals looks good from various reports online. Hendry - I am reserving judgement on til I see him in the flesh, but my issue is when you look at Ross Doohan, Dom Telford, Reece Devine, Anthony Hartigan and Nesta Guinness-Walker have left AFC Wimbledon, George Moncur all moving around or into this division the Salford squad on paper looks way off. I heard the club have been using a couple of 3rd party’s to a scout and connect with players and agents, this is presumably due to Strong leaving and recruitment being left to Casper. All that on top of searching for a new manager clearly will of spread Casper and the chairwomen too thin and now it’s amateur hour again.

Tylor Golden has signed for Halifax Town. Will be interesting to see how he gets on there.

Not a player but seen on Salford City’s Linked in they need a new GK Coach because Carlo Nash has gone to Vale???
WTF is going on - I am sure a relegation battle would be fun in the 2nd half of the season but not after the last few years.
