Great to here the good news about Theo, great player.
Now, get on and sign Kyle!
If he’s’his dads son’, he will have a brilliant attitude and work ethic. If he is ‘his gradads grandson’ even better!

Kyle? I assume it’s Kyle Ferguson - Barry Ferguson’s lad. Anyone heard anything on Jordan Turnbull? I know he was muted to have spoken to Derby but they look like they are going to miss their EFL deadline for the sale later today so imagine those plans are up the wall.

That's good he's been excellent since he came here Looking at the photo, Theo's 'contract' consists of just two short lines of print.
... What Salford demands of its players must be simple and straight to the point.

I note that someone shared a story on Facebook that we may be signing Paul Mullin.
What do you think?

Not a player rumour, but apparently Gary Bowyer is favourite for the Dundee job.

He’s 27… 26 in 30 games last year. Least he has had reality TV exposure at Wrexham which is all important. Stinks of a Casper signing if you ask me.

Seems a bit quiet on the recruitment front, braced for a few departures however.
Turnbull has been flagged for a few L1 sides on a free. Asante got a cracking write up in the athletic over the weekend, not sure if that was a favour for an agent but £500k was muted as a potential fee and I know Reading and Swansea might be suitors for BTA.
I am not panicking yet but when you see Tranmere signing a championship level left back in Ethan Bristow, I can’t help but think we might be in trouble here.

I am not panicking yet but when you see Tranmere signing a championship level left back in Ethan Bristow, I can’t help but think we might be in trouble here. I find it strange that in a recent article where they looked at transfer fees by club, we weren’t mentioned because none of our fees are made public. I think the idea behind it is that we don’t want others to see us as a cash cow. But if we aren’t paying over the odds, why not publish this information and show the rest that we’re not willing to pay over the odds, just because we can? But we apparently did pay a lot to agents. The transfer market seems generally quiet and I think Andy G said they couldn’t announce much until 1st July. I accept that and we’re probably wrong, but there does appear to be a deja vu feeling about things. I’ll be on holiday on 1st July, but I’ll be keeping an eye on announcements. We have a new young manager who the owners know well, or some of them do. He’s more likely to buy into the club ethos on signings. and we should now know what we need to do to get out of this league. We’ve watched other clubs do it, some on less money. Of course, you can never say never, but I can’t help think that if we didn’t do it this season……will we ever?

It's going to be even tougher this season as there are a few clubs with plenty of cash such as Stockport and Bradford and some higher profile clubs coming down, as well as strong teams from last season like Swindon and Northampton so it won't be easy to attract the required talent. Throw in an untried manager/coach with no knowledge of lower league football and it's going to be a challenge all round.
The transfer window only opened on Friday so I'm not too concerned at this stage but if the usual host of out of contract journeymen turn up in 3 or 4 weeks I'll start to worry.

I agree, Bradford have bought well so far. Stockport will spend 100%, just feels like a lack of organisation on the transfer front. No sign of a replacement for Greg Strong or definitive answer on whether Casper is leading the recruitment. Is Thrnbull the only one of the players offered deals that hasn’t signed yet?
