Looking at one of the Bolton forums they must be the Bolton big billy bollux brigade. They think Saturday's game is already won and that they are going to win promotion! These distressed gentry folk make Oldham look balanced. Given that our Burnden performance was our worst of the season you can see why they think that. Hopefully we will for once throw everything at them. I am coming to the conclusion that some players are not playing for Wellens. Let us see if our 'tinpot' club can slay these lions of Vienna!

Yet another once more successful club who think they are somehow superior to other clubs in the same division as them because they once played in the Premier League. It probably says more about the likes of them and Oldham that they have to invent a rivalry against another local side because they no longer have anyone else. Sad really.
I don’t hold out much hope of 3 points given our inability to score more than once in a game so a draw at best methinks.

I saw a stat that we have not managed two goals from open play at any away game this season!

How's the weather looking? Is it possible to play the games elsewhere if need be or are there rules in place against that?

How's the weather looking? Is it possible to play the games elsewhere if need be or are there rules in place against that? Absolutely no precedence for this sort of occurence. I know Manchester United played at Manchester City's ground for some time but then again I don't really see much chance of the Luftwaffe making a return to the North West anytime soon!

Despite them thinking they are better than they actually are, I’m worried they may be right on this one. We may have a good performance in us here and there, but it’s going to take a good while before we hit any real form.

Less than 10 years ago in season 2011-2012 Bolton were in the Premier League while we were competing in the Northern Premier League Division One North - a gap of seven leagues! Three relegations, numerous winding up orders and adminstrations for them and in comparison four promotions for us since then and we're supposed to be the tinpot team?

We are more than capable of wining providing a) - we can actually play two halves of decent football as opposed to the one as is the norm, b) - we can actually find the back of the net instead of either their keeper or the woodwork as is the norm and c) - we can actually make the right and intelligent decisions when approaching the final minutes of the game as is not the norm. Let's also factor in pride and the fact that we are playing Bolton Wanderers - still a big name despite their fall from grace in recent years. It shouldn't be that Bolton have the incentive of beating us purely because of who we are owned by. Our desire and reason for wanting to win should far outweigh theirs!

Bolton, Cambridge, Bradford...we had better turn it up a notch in the next 10 days. If we're going to end up in the top 3...these are possibly the most crucial 3 matches of the season. Huge week ahead!

Huge week ahead! Can’t be any excuses. Jus5 about every player in the team needs to raise their game, some more than others. So does the manager, who needs to pick the team on form, with no favourites getting a free pass.
