I saw a news item on the BBC web site saying crowds will not be going back to grounds from the 1st October. Given the most recent COVID news, we may not get back for some ropime to come. 😞

Yes I saw that. Seeing as restrictions are set to be in place for 6 months I fear this season may be a write off. Hopefully things will improve and we can get to go at some point but I’m prepared for the worst case scenario on the basis I’ll be pleased if it it changes.

With the onset of autumn and winter combined with rising infected numbers which will invariably lead to more deaths we'll be lucky to be able to attend any live games this year and I'm wondering what's going to happen to our EFL Trophy final against Portsmouth next April as I can't see Wembley wanting to refund over 50K Portsmouth fans!

Re the EFL Trophy I read in the MEN the other day that they have basically parked any decisions until the end of the year. They are then aiming to play it in 2021 but I hadn’t heard they were planning on April. There’s not a snowball in hell’s chance the Govt will allow 50,000+ supporters in Wembley in April if restrictions are in place until the end of March so I don’t know why the EFL don’t just bite the bullet and scrap the whole thing.
