The Fylde game will be massive, could determine who gets 3rd spot. Based on those fixtures, I predict: LEYTON ORIENT ............ P-38 GD-35 PTS-76 MAX-100 - 5 wins, 2 draws, 1 defeat - 93pts SOLIHULL MOORS ......... P-40 GD-26 PTS-74 MAX-92 - 4 wins, 1 draw, 1 defeat - 87pts SALFORD CITY .............. P-40 GD-27 PTS-73 MAX-91 - same as Moors - 86pts WREXHAM .................... P-40 GD-17 PTS-72 MAX-90 - 4 wins, 2 draws - 86pts AFC FYLDE ................... P-38 GD-29 PTS-67 MAX-91 - same as Orient - 84pts The rest get less than this. So, if Fylde draw one less than I predict, 3 teams end on 86pts, so GD might become very important, so beating Fylde will be massive. It shows we simply can't lose more than 1 more game to finish top 3, in my opinion. My prediction is looking ropey... 😀. Still think we are 3pts short though. No defeats and we could do it, wow!

Great night for us!
Eastleigh 0 Barnet 3 AFC Fylde 1 Dagenham & Redbridge 1 Bromley 2 Leyton Orient 1
It'll be interesting reading Orient's forum as prior to last night most of their supporters were claiming the title was already wrapped up!

Win all our games. Simple. 1-0 penalties all of them. Orient will slip up. Pressures on them.

... and, an ever-improving chance of actually making the automatic promotion spot.

Orient have a tough road the next four games with Eastleigh, Sutton, Harrogate and Solihull before the final with Braintree. Given their current form, 3-1-1 (10 pts) over the final 5 games seems very reasonable. Best case senario, Orient drop a few points to Eastleigh, Sutton and or Harrogate and then beat Solihull to set them back. 89 pts and I think we win this thing!

And on current form - based on both the past 6 weeks' league games and the past 10 weeks' - Salford City FC is top. That's top of the league and top of the recent form charts! Not bad, eh.
Now it's down to Eastleigh to stop Leyton Orient taking some of the shine off of our success tonight.
"Come On Eastleigh! Come On Eastleigh! Come On Eastleigh!" (It worked last week with Bromley! )

Lets not get carried away, its points on the board that count, not form. Last few games anything can happen.

"Come On Eastleigh! Come On Eastleigh! Come On Eastleigh!" (It worked last week with Bromley! ) Eastleigh are in the lead for the second time in this game. It's currently 2-1 to Eastleigh. "Come On Eastleigh! Come On Eastleigh! Come On Eastleigh!"
PS: I am very much in control, Becks... it's just that where Salford City FC are concerned I'm very much a positive optimist. I want to see us win this league, mate!
... AND WE WILL.

Bad luck. Leyton Orient managed to hold on to their 3-2 lead. Ne'er mind; it's now equal games-played and Orient 2 points ahead. We'll leap-frog 'em on Saturday!!

I still say 89 pts wins the league. Orient will lose points somewhere in the next 3 games and Solihull will slip up as well.

Kicking off early on Saturday - and hopefully winning - would put extra pressure on Orient at what won't be an easy game for them at Sutton United. Factor in also that they've conceded 6 goals in their last three games suggests they are far from infallible in defence. All we can do - and have to do - is to keep on winning!

Add to that AFC Fylde losing perhaps not surprisingly given their away form at relegated Braintree Town and Harrogate at home to Boreham Wood and you really couldn't begin to make it up. No question at all that the title outcome - and the all important 2nd and 3rd placings - won't be decided until the last Saturday of the regular season.
