Good to hear the young lad extend his loan for another Month been an absolute pleasure to watch this lad develope this past month from seeing at Whitby warming up in the league fixture to becoming a main stay in the midfield got a great future in the game this lad. And it also gives our club a great relationship with Blackburn for future loans having seen Lewis develope.

Yes, having him progress with us should send out a message that loan players will get game time, will be treated right and will improve their game when they come to Salford.
I love the way the gaffers are running the team. Despite losing some decent players, they have done so by improving on what we had.

Defo pal, When a decent player leaves eye brows get raised but everyone who has come in has improved the team massively. The lads are always looking forward with the squad and for me is massive reason we havent looked out of place in this division.

For a young kid he is an incredible talent who is probably having the time of his life playing proper competitive football as opposed to the sterile environment of youth football. I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot more about him in the future if he continues to improve and impress the way he already has since joining us.

Fingers crossed we can keep hold of the lad for a good while longer yet. He's been a great addition to the squad.

The lad hasnt stopped since he arrived, and obviously Southport was a massive game. Im sure Lewis will be back on it come Friday if hes in the starting 11.

I think everyone looked a bit jaded last night. That will happen as we go through the season. We'll be back on track soon. I expect a much changed team for the next game. The senior players will then come back rested.

Im in 2 minds on the team for friday as its last time to work on our defending at set plays and we have a full 7 days to then prep for the FA cup but i can see lewis being rested as Tungi is back in contention

I'd be tempted to mix and match - five or six from the first team mixed with youths and fringe players. We could easily utilise the three permitted substitutes so that some of the first teamers don't have to play the full game. Whatever side we put out, I just hope the tie gets settled one way or another on the night, as I believe there are replays in the trophy.

Probably a good time to bump this thread back to the top. After watching yet another mature and assured display from this young man, and after watching the tv coverage from last night, where the assorted pundits were similarly impressed, is it not time to look at extending his loan period? I think I'm correct in assuming that the 2nd round is usually the 1st weekend in December, by which time Lewis' loan period will have expired. My point is he has been instrumental in us getting this far, so for Blackburn to deny us a further extension would be particularly hard on the lad, as I think he deserves to be on this adventure with us for as long as it lasts.

I think the situation is pretty relaxed as we can extend his loan as and when needed And i reckon for as long as we are still involved in the fa cup then so will lewis
